    marine grade paint is tough stuff i had to paint saunders LTD UK industrial valves with that stuff leftovers which had to be used an the cup tossed in the bin went on my old truck it held when the metal rusted away LOL

    shocking how much filler is used but I guess most steel/aluminium sailing boats will be like that to get the smooth lines

    what do you use as a dryer on your dry blast system? Is it that thing attached to the front of your compressor by the valve.

    • @Mobileblaster
      @Mobileblaster  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's part of it only real way of drying air is to cool it and then water traps

      @Green Mountain Mobile Blasting & Powder Coating ya gunner struggle getting dry air from anything more than 350cfm well it takes deeper pockets to buy the equipment needed to do so I'm having a little trouble trying to get dry air from mine coolers are the way to go but bloody expensive for what they air

    Blimey i thought it had some sort of thick special undercoat boat paint initially until you did one spot & could see it was like 1/2" thick & was filler of some sort.
    I am guessing this isn't normal?

    • @Mobileblaster
      @Mobileblaster  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To see filler is normal but not this thick they definitely got giddy with it. Normally a good boat builder will only use filler to cover the grinder marks were they flattened the weld for a seamless finish

    ffs Mick you are playing with fire with that deadman I have been in the game for decades and seen some horrendous injuries had a chill when I seen you with them wires ,get some gauntlets minimum HSE would have a field day 🙄

    • @Mobileblaster
      @Mobileblaster  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The way my deadmans is setup I cannot let go of the pipe without it shutting down with it been electric this happens alot quicker than air powered deadmans. HSE wouldn't say a thing I've had them go over my business before I'm fine to do what I'm doing but when I had workers I had to switch things up ie I can blast without suit or gloves because it's for me but a worker has to have all the correct ppe wich is bolx if you ask me I did have to make sure my wip checks was the correct size for the correct pipes tho I was running 2 1/2" whip checks on 3/4" pipe and was told off because its to mate up I thort bigger would be better turns out its not also what I did anyway but didn't keep a log was servicing and daily checks needed to logged and dated. I didn't realise even if I did my servicing and everything was upto date if I've not got paperwork and something happened well insurance is void and any workers that could get injured will be taking me personally to court not my business (that should be insured)

  • @larryperdue508

    For a switch you could use a heavy duty toggle switch after connecting it rape it with some rubber from a old inertube and seal the wires were they come out with silicone and get some electrical shrink tubeing to keep the dust out and you can still flip the switch 😊 just a note you will have to put the shrink tubing into the wires first before you do anything 😊

    • @Mobileblaster
      @Mobileblaster  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I managed to find a switch overseas and that works a treat 👌 just in the UK electric deadman isn't that popular so the parts are expensive 300£ for a trigger is ridiculous for a micro switch and plastic 😂

    Really just needed a pressure wash and prepped for recoat of anti foul. Like jackhammering out rock to replace with concrete.

    • @Mobileblaster
      @Mobileblaster  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      And what's the best method for prepping to recoating? We wasn't to know how much filler was used or how good of condition the filler was untill blasting. We put a 8 year warranty on this and I wouldn't have liked to go over the top of old what could have been shabby filler. That's the only reason we continued 👍

    • @Mobileblaster

      It's always getting used stuff brakes and the environment of a blaster is really harsh and demanding on all the equipment. I'm not fussed if my equipment doesn't look professional so long as the customer is happy with the finished job 👍
