Dimash is a musical genius!!! Besides having an unbelievable vocal range, he's also a multi instrumentalist. He plays piano, dombra, guitar, drums, and, basically, any instrument you place into his hands! He is also a composer and has a Master's degree in Music. He'll be working on his Doctorate soon.

Dimash turned a Kazakh folk song from 1905 into a funky jazz version. That’s him and only him who does such crazy stuff and turning out so well. Always when you think that you heard everything what is able to do he comes around with a new surprise. Fingers crossed that you can go to Hong Kong! Welcome to the world of being a Dear. Concerts are randomly announced, sometimes with a month's warning, sometimes with 6 months warning. You have to decide if you're going to one usually before you know what else is going to pop up. And then when they do, you have to scramble to see what plans you can rearrange to see as many concerts as you can. (Because you can never get enough!) Sometimes we complain, but it really makes life interesting. I can't wait until you can see him live. You will be amazed! I hope you take time to soak in the love and appreciation that will be flowing between Dimash and the audience. It is like nothing I have ever experienced. I actually am left with a huge sense of loss in the days and weeks following the concert. I know that sounds crazy, but it happens to many. I sincerely hope you can see him in Hong Kong, but if not, he will be in Budapest Hungary in May!

Hi John! I wish I could help you achieve your goal of seeing Dimash live! Alas, I had to scratch that off my bucket list a little while ago. Basically I threw the bucket away. I'm a 66 yr young retiree on Disability for my back, moved from the Capito of Illinoisl to a small town near where I grew up, and began the retired life. Not much money, but that's ok. When I first heard Dimash, I was stunned. I grew up on 70s rock classics, but like all sorts of music, and Dimash captivated me just like so many other Dears. So I started that bucket list, with him at the top. Well, everything was cool, until my lifelong battle with Murphy's Law reared its ugly head. My 89 yr old mom moved to an assisted living facility and sold the house, (Dad passed several yrs ago), and she split some of the proceeds between my 2 very comfortable brothers and I. More money than I'd ever had! But then, something started going wrong, and I couldn't figure out what it was and what to do. All my clothes, and eventually, all fabric, fur, leather and upholstery became affected. My skin was very irritated, Dr was no help, a myriad of so called professionals were no help, and my landlord, family, Dr, and most friends thought I was delusional. The Dr even sent me for an MRI of my brain! So I've struggled with this mess, in a small town with no laundromat, no dry cleaner, and only a Dollar General to buy necessary things like underwear, socks, towels, and sheets, which I had to replace constantly because I could not wash out the stuff that attacked my clothes and couldn't wear them once affected. I spent virtually every bit of that inheritance just literally trying to keep clothes on my back. It's not been fun, and I've been near suicidal, angry as hell, and frustrated by the lack of helpful advice as to what to do. I couldn't move out til I figured out if I'd leave the problem behind or keep it with me. Long story short, it was only thru long hrs of frustrated researching that I've determined it could be stupid clothes moths. The larvae specifically, destroying not only natural fibers, but anything they could eat. I had never had any contact with these things, so I had no idea what I was doing, made the whole issue worse by mishandling, and now, after spending all my money, I purchased a pheromone trap finally proved it. It was loaded with male moths in a couple weeks. After 2 years! And roughly $10,000 spent on high water and gas bills, cleaning supplies, pest control idiots, HVAC repairman, Washer/dryer repairman, vet bills, and constant replacement of clothing, bedding, and towels! I had been a hermit essentially during this, unable to go out or invite people over. And now that I know what it is, and it's all over my house, it's still a matter of cleaning, fumigation, dry clean, wash/dry hot, and then brush or in some way try to remove the larvae and crap they leave in stuff. I threw away virtually all clothing, shoes and bedding that I originally had, and plenty more of what I've bought since. I'm exhausted, broke again, and my bucket list is null and void. 😢 I'm waiting now to fumigate, but my cat had a litter, and currently have 3 kittens to get homes for before tackling it. So I really hope you get to go, and hope you're lucky enough to meet Dimash, and if you do, please tell him Elaine Dear wanted to be there too! I'd give anything to do over the last 2 yrs and recoup my losses, but I don't see a way at this point. Good luck and know that if you go there will be lots of jealous dears wishing to be there! Love your channel and it's clear you are a huge fan of Dimash. If not this time, maybe next!❤❤❤
Anyone who plays an instrument (like me, who plays keyboards) notices the technical quality of Dimash's arrangements: In the part where he harmonized the melody with a funk-jazz arrangement he could use the classic jazz-bebop scale (with the augmented fifth) but, based on the positions of his hands on the keyboard and the sound, we can see that he enhances the music using inverted chords, increases augmented fourths and sevenths and explores variations of the mixolydian mode, these are complex chords that demonstrate what an excellent vocalist, musician, instrumentalist and arranger Dimash is!

❗The instrument: Dombra (dome'bra) 2 strings made of horsehair and gut, played for centuries by the nomads of the Kazakhstan steppes. His Grandfather, a Master Player received his country's highest Medal Of Honor for his decades of cultural contributions to his nation. He taught Dimash to play chess and the dombra when he was a little boy and they played both together until his Grandfather's recent death. He plays it like an acoustic guitar in Rivers Of Love. Welcome to the world of being a Dear. Concerts are randomly announced, sometimes with a month's warning, sometimes with 6 months warning. You have to decide if you're going to one usually before you know what else is going to pop up. And then when they do, you have to scramble to see what plans you can rearrange to see as many concerts as you can. (Because you can never get enough!) Sometimes we complain, but it really makes life interesting. I can't wait until you can see him live. You will be amazed! I hope you take time to soak in the love and appreciation that will be flowing between Dimash and the audience. It is like nothing I have ever experienced. I actually am left with a huge sense of loss in the days and weeks following the concert. I know that sounds crazy, but it happens to many. I sincerely hope you can see him in Hong Kong, but if not, he will be in Budapest Hungary in May!

Dimash wrote the arrangement. You can see his hand gestures where he is directing the orchestra. Composition, arranging, conducting, playing instruments and of course the vocal. I am glad you can appreciate the depth of his talent, it really is amazing.

Hi John! I wish I could help you achieve your goal of seeing Dimash live! Alas, I had to scratch that off my bucket list a little while ago. Basically I threw the bucket away. I'm a 66 yr young retiree on Disability for my back, moved from the Capito of Illinoisl to a small town near where I grew up, and began the retired life. Not much money, but that's ok. When I first heard Dimash, I was stunned. I grew up on 70s rock classics, but like all sorts of music, and Dimash captivated me just like so many other Dears. So I started that bucket list, with him at the top. Well, everything was cool, until my lifelong battle with Murphy's Law reared its ugly head. My 89 yr old mom moved to an assisted living facility and sold the house, (Dad passed several yrs ago), and she split some of the proceeds between my 2 very comfortable brothers and I. More money than I'd ever had! But then, something started going wrong, and I couldn't figure out what it was and what to do. All my clothes, and eventually, all fabric, fur, leather and upholstery became affected. My skin was very irritated, Dr was no help, a myriad of so called professionals were no help, and my landlord, family, Dr, and most friends thought I was delusional. The Dr even sent me for an MRI of my brain! So I've struggled with this mess, in a small town with no laundromat, no dry cleaner, and only a Dollar General to buy necessary things like underwear, socks, towels, and sheets, which I had to replace constantly because I could not wash out the stuff that attacked my clothes and couldn't wear them once affected. I spent virtually every bit of that inheritance just literally trying to keep clothes on my back. It's not been fun, and I've been near suicidal, angry as hell, and frustrated by the lack of helpful advice as to what to do. I couldn't move out til I figured out if I'd leave the problem behind or keep it with me. Long story short, it was only thru long hrs of frustrated researching that I've determined it could be stupid clothes moths. The larvae specifically, destroying not only natural fibers, but anything they could eat. I had never had any contact with these things, so I had no idea what I was doing, made the whole issue worse by mishandling, and now, after spending all my money, I purchased a pheromone trap finally proved it. It was loaded with male moths in a couple weeks. After 2 years! And roughly $10,000 spent on high water and gas bills, cleaning supplies, pest control idiots, HVAC repairman, Washer/dryer repairman, vet bills, and constant replacement of clothing, bedding, and towels! I had been a hermit essentially during this, unable to go out or invite people over. And now that I know what it is, and it's all over my house, it's still a matter of cleaning, fumigation, dry clean, wash/dry hot, and then brush or in some way try to remove the larvae and crap they leave in stuff. I threw away virtually all clothing, shoes and bedding that I originally had, and plenty more of what I've bought since. I'm exhausted, broke again, and my bucket list is null and void. 😢 I'm waiting now to fumigate, but my cat had a litter, and currently have 3 kittens to get homes for before tackling it.
So I really hope you get to go, and hope you're lucky enough to meet Dimash, and if you do, please tell him Elaine Dear wanted to be there too! I'd give anything to do over the last 2 yrs and recoup my losses, but I don't see a way at this point. Good luck and know that if you go there will be lots of jealous dears wishing to be there! Love your channel and it's clear you are a huge fan of Dimash. If not this time, maybe next!❤❤❤

Anyone who plays an instrument (like me, who plays keyboards) notices the technical quality of Dimash's arrangements: In the part where he harmonized the melody with a funk-jazz arrangement he could use the classic jazz-bebop scale (with the augmented fifth) but, based on the positions of his hands on the keyboard and the sound, we can see that he enhances the music using inverted chords, increases augmented fourths and sevenths and explores variations of the mixolydian mode, these are complex chords that demonstrate what an excellent vocalist, musician, instrumentalist and arranger Dimash is!
