THANK YOU! But how do I do that for Iowa? Because I live in Iowa, but I haven't been able to find _any_ information about sample ballots or information about how the ballot is filled out. I am a new voter and this will be my first election. I have already filled out my ballot and sent it by mail; but my sister hasn't yet. I went in not even knowing what checking "yes" or "no" meant, or who most of the candidates were, since I did not recognize many of the names on it, especially on the back side. My sister does not know who these people are either and we don't remember the list of name. I've been trying to do research for her to see who she would want to vote for. But I haven't found any information about the ballot yet, and I do not know where to look. I've been looking through .gov sites only to make sure I go to an unbiased source, but haven't found what I am looking for. Any help or information?

And be sure to thoroughly educate yourself before casting a vote for anybody, don't feel obligated to fill out every section of the ballot.
That form looks simple enough to choose preferred candidates for president but does the average person know all the local officials?
will vote all Republican.
