Pull up after touching ground at the deck and your tail ailerons will brake and stop the plane faster. Zig-zag maneouver also decreases speed a lot and can save you from falling to water in bad landings. You can aproach the carrier from both sides, just keep your wing tips away from the bridge. Good video.

After watching the video I managed to land the C-47 even with one wheel almost falling off the deck.

I bought the b17 for shits & giggles, went to the ocean map in free flight, and successfully landed it on the carrier.
Is there a way to repair your craft ? I tried landing it just gets shot until its all over . Too bad every mission is over until you get killed.
