- Cupressus is one of the Italian native species that bonsai enthusiast love to have in their collections . Strong and fast grower can be developed into a great bonsai in a very short period of time . In this episode Mauro with his student Christian work on a big cupressus stump transforming a bush into a future great bonsai in a formal style. Jesus man what a tree! Very nice to hear about the history of the species. I was very lucky to have one from a marina in Massa, it was pulled out of the ground with a literal crane. After hearing you say that they are hard to collect I feel very lucky. I hope to bring the tree to your intensive class one day.

Mauro anzitutto complimenti per l'ottimo lavoro eseguito su questo cipresso;non era per niente facile lavorare un tronco così grosso che era stato capitozzato. Il risultato finale è stato spettacolare,molto preciso nei minimi dettagli....ma vorrei farti anche i miei complimenti perché sei l'unico professionista che mentre esegue un lavoro,spiega nei minimi dettagli ciò che stai eseguendo,questo è molto importante e ti fa molto onore. I have heard an excelent analysis of the tree. Amazing how to give movement with shari.... acojonante trabajo de jins. I prefer Biccoca's work in which he follows the wood fibres, but its a really good work. The idea of the shari is just perfect. In this way I love the way you work sharis. El anclaje al tornillo es otra lección impagable. Cuantas lecciones disfruto con estos videos. Branch desing is just unbelieveble. Perfect apex. In design Mauro is one of the best in the world of bonsai. Very natural, japan desing. Thank for sharing. I enjoy every second of the video!!!!!!!!!!! "It was so good, I almost peed my pants!!!

I love the Cipres (I think Cipresso in Italy) for bonsai, it deserves more in the bonsai world its an awesome species

While I understand that the aim is to attain a thick-trunked bonsai from a yamadori without years of training, I think this is always going to look like a stump with miniature branches. Taper can't be created entirely by artifice without it looking artificial.

Hola Mauro..espero no moleste..pero porqué no hablas en tu idioma Italiano y los títulos en inglés..ya que tu idioma tradicional se entiende mejor..soy hijo de Italiano y vivo en España..le pase tu canal a un club de Bonsais en Argentina, y me comentan que poder disfrutar de tu espectacular trabajo y tratar de leer la traducción es complicado..pero bueno..te deseo lo mejor y sigue ofreciendo este talento tan grande que tienes...gracias
