The fart scene at the end was when the villagers from the river lands came to complain about The Mountain attacking them. Ned ordered Ser Beric and Thoros to go capture The Mountain. A very serious scene turned into something hilarious. I love how Ned looks disgusted when Pycelle farts.
What a joy to watch you see this for the first time. It's hilarious, and just as hilarious watching your reaction to it. When you watch it again (and again, and again) you'll start to pick up all the little touches: the signs ("Joust For Fun"), the vendor stands, all the little bits that make it even more funny.
I absolutely loved watching this with you guys! It's a great thing to actually see you both smile and laugh after watching shows that are pretty damn serious. TWD, Breaking Bad and GoT... we don't get a lot of chances to see a lot of cheerful reactions, so this was really nice.
IMO the 1995 specifically is better. the VHS is just synth style. While i usually love it, because we're talking intro, the 1995 gives a neat callback to typical action/ adventure series of the 90's. The VHS one is closer to 80's. But both are good. The VHS is the only one using the typical GOT theme though.

Also the quick camera shot on Littlefinger is actually before Pycell, not during. He is the one hinting to Ned that it is The Mountain being the criminal. The farmer also mentioned a horse been cleft in two. What does that remind you of? Baelish asked.
