Because now a days smartphone companies are trying to get the title of world's slimest phone and headphone jack takes a lots of space that's why they removed it and also it make the phone more water proof.
The simplest answer would be, they use a different digital payment method ( QR code ) instead of NFC like the West. As if the Mi 6X is a Chinese version and the A2( like A1, just a OS switch but hardware remain the same), then there's most likely won't be NFC in their (budget) phones.(I guess ?) The 2 biggest digital payment method in China are so popular and common in China that almost anyone with a smartphone that have a camera can use it ( all you need is Scan the QR code, either you scan the vendor or other scan yours). Just imagine WhatsApp with a digital wallet service that link to your Bank card, but all it does it's just the 3rd person between you and any vendors.
Maybe, but I think it all come down to whatever kind of technology that they're gonna to use in their daily basis. For public transportation, they use card with chip, so that does function like NFC in a way. Other than that, I haven't see any other NFC alike usage or functions.
got the miA1 myself, one of the best phones ive ever owned, stock android, super fast. 200usd. can't go wrong, ill be getting this one just because they are so good and cheap
Yes the A1 is great, shame mine never arrived. DHL wanted to charge me over 100 euros tax on it so I refused it. And later got a refund. Now of course it's in Spain. But the Mi A2 will be great.

Matej Milovanovic im a mi4s and redmi note note 4 user. If money not a problem, i would buy 2 iphn x to support my 2 sims card, bcs iPhone has the best UI and the transition is smooth and easier ro use than Android phones, especially the keyboard, no android phone can beat the smoothness and accuracy of iPhone keyboard. Mi phones are affordable but they pretty lag to use after u loaded some apps. Scrolling FACEBOOK in my friend iPhone X is damn smooth and my mi4s and note 4 just lag and lag and lag and app crash.
it seemed to me that the audio's quality on recording was better than the note 5. what do you think? And that was a paraglider hehe he probably was on a mountain and was heading to landing. And that statue reminds me of you! May be some relative to you? Great video!

The lack of headphone jack is something I can live with. But manufacturers should start considering a move to UFS flash storage. This is a Mi series after all

I'm with the majority (and TechTablets) on this - Redmi Note 5 (SD 636 version) is the better phone. Bigger battery, headphone jack, less camera protrusion, cheaper too. Thanks for the great vid!
K Moyong I don't need to replace my phone yet, but if I needed to buy today, it would be the RN5 Pro :) Last year I bought my mom a Redmi Note 4X and I'm so envious of it's battery life.
I don't think it is, so far the stability in the video is better on the RN5PRO/RN5CN. Some daylight photos better on the Redmi Note 5. But in low light the Mi 6X wins, so depends on your needs.

Not sure the Redmi Note 5 is clearer I think, but quality wise maybe the Mi 6X is better. Both are better than the Mi Mix 2S

Mi 6X is better at low light, video and photos. But the focus isn't as stable as the Chiense Redmo Note 5. I will have a camera comarison soon!
