I'm glad you liked the video! Depending on your situation, here are some questions to help you make the decision. Are you currently a CS student and have already done a software engineering internship? If not and you still have time for internships, do a software engineering internship first. Do you know for sure you want to do data science? If you still have summers for internship I would recommend trying to get a data science internship to see what it would be like. If you know you want to do data science for sure, yes go for it! It's ultimately your decision so take my thoughts with a grain of salt, but I believe in you! Hello I am currently student of computer science but I am planning to move in cyber security [we can move if its with in 1 year] but I thought that if I take cyber security in batchler I won't have that base in as people in computer science have so I thought of doing batchler in computer science and in master's degree to take computer science. But I am also rethinking these decision and just move to cyber security in batchler [some people i talked with told its gonna be waste of time to do cybersecurity in master again when i can just do in batchler] idkk plz give me some advice. I whould really Appreciate it.
Hello! Depends on what you want to do. If you for sure know you want to do cybersecurity and know that you can get a cybersecurity job after doing a bachelor's in cybersecurity, then that should be fine. If you are not sure you definitely want to do cybersecurity, I would stay in computer science to get the skills and take cybersecurity related courses to continue developing that knowledge/skillset, and if needed you can get a master's in cybersecurity which could set you up for better opportunities that only people with an MS could get. I would take everyone else's advice with a grain of salt (including mine) and think about what it is that matters the most to you and take the path that will help you get there the fastest. If you are still unsure of what you want, take the path that will provide you with the most skills so that you can specialize if you wanted to. Ultimately, it's your decision, and I trust you will make the best decision for you!
Im majoring in international security and i made the decision to instead of getting a 2 year master in something related i want to get a second bachelor in computer science and engineering (im in europe) i want to become a machine learning engineer or a cybersecurity engineer, do you think is a dumb decision or not because to be honest there is no other way at least here in europe either you have the required degrees or you don't and i don't know if i will get a master but for now this is my idea. If you could give me your opinion it woud be fantastic, by the way i struggle with the social media and all the people my age making money but i believe that if i stick to the plan im going to have access to a way to potentially make millions but this is not the only goal, i want to create something in the industry and leave a footprint.
I'm not as familiar with how the job industry works in Europe, though I have heard it is more popular for people to get a MS after their bachelor's in Europe than in the US. I would say depending on what you would get the master's degree in (i.e. MS in computer science, cybersecurity, etc.), I would pick whichever one has an easier and straightforward path to becoming a machine learning engineer or cybersecurity engineer since you know that is what you want to do. Do those jobs typically require/prefer a master's degree or do they take a bachelor's degree? How long would it take for you to get a second bachelor's degree? Would it improve your chances to get a machine learning/cybersecurity engineer job even though it might take longer? Or would it be easier to get those jobs with a master's degree? These are questions to consider in helping you make the decision. Ultimately, it's your decision, and I trust you will make the best decision for you! @@itscharismaticchris thank you for answering my comment. The point here in europe is that is a lot different than US because if you want to get in anything related to tech you need a bachelor so the point is i need 100% to get a second bachelor in cmputer engineering (which i can get either in max 3 years or minimum 2 years if i work really hard) and the master usually people in europe get it in their mid late 20s because is more of a specialisation once they get experience in the industry so once i finish the bachelor i can work and study for the master in ai/ml. My problem is im interested and i found what i want to do in life so in a sense im lucky because i know what i want from life now in my early 20s but the problem is the feeling of being behid in life while other people are ahead of me and i always strugled with competion, i will be 27/28 when i finish all the education but i will start working as an engineer at 26.
Loved the video . But I have a question that should I go for Bsc . Data Science ?
