No one is accountable in our society if they hold certain positions.

Listen, if the coppers wanted you for a fine and you haven’t paid they would be knocking on your door until they found you , why , why , didn’t they find the person how did this horrible crime to these innocent people because they were to busy lookiong for shop lifters and tax dodging what are or is our police 👎

The police should have arrested him nine months before he killed three people! Also he drove a van at three other people aswell!
This man was clearly a danger to the public!
If he was a heavy drug user that can impact on your mental health!

Diminished responsibility if he was a drug user is a absolute cop out, and if he was wanted, why TF didn't they find him? It seems to me that the police and justice system would rather give the perpetrators the benefit of doubt, while all the time the victims and their families have to live with the consequences.
For the families of those murdered in Nottingham, my heart goes out to them, while the perpetrator gets the easy and soft option, and IMO justice has not been served at all. .

Nottinghamshire police seemed to have plenty of resources to devote to Alex Belfield.

He was a cannabis head for years. Sends them barmy but is encouraged by social media! Also, what about the racism displayed?

When I was 19 a policeman called me a mental case, but in this case we can see who is really a mental case...

An outstanding arrest warrant for 9 Months, just what were the police doing in that time, absolutely nothing, for if they had done something perhaps three good people would still be alive today.
There is something wrong with our country now , being a 1950s kid i know what it was like and this sort of murder never happened. I know what's changed !

How many more times do we have to hear governmental bodies including the Police saying we could have done more. Perhaps if they did their jobs correctly in the first place these instances would not have taken place. When will they accept the fact that through their inactions and inadequacy's, they must be prepared to shoulder some of the blame, as opposed to thinking that a simple apology will do and is good enough.

Bleksley talks nonsense. They knew he was a paranoid schizophrenic. Several psychiatrists examined him.

While I appreciate what Peter is saying, he knows that when a warrant is issued, especially as the offence was assault on police and a failure to appear at court, initial enquiries would have been made at known addresses, and if a blank was drawn,an entry would be placed on the Police national computer and the warrant filed away ,awaiting a sighting or further information of the suspect, there used to be warrants officer at stations who regularly looked at outstanding warrants, but I suspect that has long gone .So in reality ,the Police would wait until he came to notice again , during my time, keen officers would check the warrants tray and pay early morning visits, but I suspect that also has long gone. Finally a question to ask is what were the reasons for granting bail in first place

That sounds a really soft excuse by the police, he was probably claiming benefits so that was paid somewhere ??? If by chance he was working then finding him was easy. We get fined for speeding try not paying and see how long before they find you.
