I really like mine. I have always been a watch guy, and have been a G-Shock user for years. It is important for me to have a rugged / accurate watch I can wear at work. I am a fanatic about the exact time. I really like the Blue Tooth sync function that interfaces with my Samsung phone.
Hey, got this watch today and checked out your video. Your information has been absolutely helpful. Great watch and thanks for the great review. Greetings from Germany
Thank you very much for your video. I have been getting this watch for 9 months but never used because there are too many functions in a suler small screen. I got all informations now. I'll start using it. Regards
Good information, thank you. Quick question: can the watches background color me changed? Mine has a black background. Your watch that is being used as a demo is a gray-ish with black number. I'm wondering is i can change mine to the same as yours. TIA!
got this watch today purely for its looks and not interested in the blutooth or step counter gimmicks.. so i was wondering if there is a way to turn off step counter fully so this way i can extend battery life.. cheers.. great video btw
Is the orange color a color that isn't sold much. I've had trouble finding the right bands? Even Casio I can't find the one I need or I'm not smart enough. I can find them but they all seem to be sold out. I did find a used band in good shape but it's twice the price as the new ones that are out of stock other places. I was just wondering. I know it's probably not the color most would buy but I can change the bezel and bands to other colors. What do you suggest. Keep it stock or change the color? Thank you.
Thanks to the review and I really enjoy the watch very well. But I constantly find myself having to reconnect with the watch / app is that common with this watch?
Does the step tracker restart from 0 at midnight? I've got my watch brand new today and it's already says I've done 380 steps. Hoping tomorrow it will start from 0 again?
As a Casio fanboy I have some G-Shock's in collection. Trade a PRT-30 for the GDB-800UC-3ER, I like the style of the watch. Only thing that bothers me is the fact that the steptracker is far from accurate. On a normal day the watch tells me I'm doing about +20.000 steps wich isn't case! And that for a watch sold for it's primaly function as a steptracker!? When I use my Huawei GT smartwatch I come at about +10.000 steps each day (also on my Huawei P Smart smartphone wich has also a steptracker (with or without use of the GT smartwatch). That's more accurate. Also the G-Shock app wich works via a Bluetooth-connection is a battery drain.
@@rperrone2012 I wore the GBD-800 recently another time and did another test while using my Huawei P Smart smartphone (also activated gps). Huawei P Smart : 9988 steps / Casio GDB-800 : 13700 steps. I took a walk and did about 7,38 kms. That's the equivalent of about 10000 steps. I sold the watch a week ago, no Casio with Step Tracker for me. I keep it by wearing my regular G-Shock's.
Nice walk-through. Can you give me a guide how to customize specific time in timer which is default 10:00 to 30 or 35 minutes for example? Highly appreciated for your assistance through this comment. Thank you 🙏🏾
Is there any way to pause the steps ? I have seen few pictures of this watch in instagram with "MUTE" being displayed above the steps count. I tried many things but I wasn't able to find that setting.
Really helpful video. I had a question maybe you could answer? So I noticed while messing with it that the light randomly comes on when I shake the watch? Any advice on how to remove that setting?
From the G-Shock store description: The app also makes it possible to maintain step count logs with five exercise intensity levels, to calculate the calories you burn, to specify a daily step target, to create timer combinations and send them to the watch, to store stopwatch measurement data, to view data, and more.
🌈🙏🌈Good Heavens😀 ! Now We r waiting for HEART BEATE RATE , O2 blood level count on the Watch . Always been a Casio G Schock Client . Loved it since I was a TEENAGER . COME ON CASIO U CAN DO IT. We must think about saving Current and Future Sentient Beings along with MOTHER NATURE and our MOTHER EARTH🌈🙏🌈Om Mani Padme Hum 🌈🙏🌈
It's obviously a cool watch and very solid. However I feel that its behind a pure fitness smart watch, if you aren't looking for something too rugged. A pure fitness watch (like apple watch or other) will have all the information on the watch itself which is just more practical IMO. Ideally I'd get a Garmin which seems like the best of both worlds (rugged/digital) Main thing that turns me off is the need to download the casio app, and how reliable that app is.
PRIVACY WARNING! when u sync your watch with the app the info and analytics go to amazon and google im not kidding it says so in the agreements which is very short so i actually read it
OK, and so what..? What can they do with how many steps you take on a day? What difference is there, because they can already track everything thru your phone, the watch doesn't add anything extra to it. This should not be a "thing" to not buy this watch...

I like this one. It has light background and black numbers. It's more visible.

Does this have a calorie counter for different types of workouts like lifting?
