For the last question part 2, aren't there more ways to arrange the 2 boys? e.g 1 boy at the beginning and the other one at the end?

In a row, the beginning and the end are not connected. If we were to talk about a circle, yes, it would have counted as a solution

O is a valid first digit since we are talking about a code. For example, 012 is a valid 3 digit code.
