Not sure if anyone has already explained this, but in regards to the Smooth Criminal lean, he has special shoes with grooves cut into them, the shoes then hook into the floor and then he can lean that far. He has a patent on those special shoes. It takes incredible core strength to lean like that and stay in control, even if you're hooked into the ground. Mike was legendary 💯 Once of a Life Time Artist
If this video was more accurate it should’ve started at when he was age 10 on the Ed Sullivan Show🐐👑🌟💯(I recommend y’all React to Michael Jackson “Best Live Vocals” since y’all already showcased alot of his dancing already he was more than that tbh.)
He was a natural dancer and practiced a lot also. 🤩 The lean: he had his heels locked into the floor (a hidden patent) and then used a lot of core strength to lean that far. In some concerts, when you look real close you, can see him and his dancers locking their heels on the stage floor before the lean. Michael was very slim and had enormous core strength (a dancers body)
Btw the smooth criminal lean was done with special shoes, they had a little hole on the heels where they attached it to nails, that had a little system so the nails would go up right on time and get back down after they were done so it wouldn't reveal the trick. You can still see them in some HD footage like the HIStory tour show in Munich 1997 For the original short film they used cables though, that's why the bad tour didn't have a lean, it's because they still had no idea how to pull it off mid performance
Please react to his performance of Billie Jean and Beat It during his Dangerous tour in Bucharest, Romania in the early 90s Also: the iconic anti-gravity lean was achieved through the use of carefully concealed pegs in the stage and peg holes on the soles of his loafers. He would step on the pegs and they would keep him on his feet while he leaned forward.
