    The more I watch the more I want to resettle my family near the Gold Coast. So beautiful and a great video. Waterfalls!!

    • @MrAusadventure
      @MrAusadventure  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Bikes & Drones The more I watch your videos, the more I want to come and live in South East Asia for a more simplistic lifestyle! Much cheaper than living on the Gold Coast! You'd have some amazing waterfalls over there though wouldn't you?

    • @BikesDrones
      @BikesDrones 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** Most things are cheap but a private education is very pricey here. Haven't seen a waterfall here that's even as close as what you showed here.

      +Bikes & Drones Ah. OK. I'd love to get some footage up there with a drone. That would be epic!

      +bakerXderek It is an amazing place. You'd love it! Lots of View Ropes for you!
      Yeah, you have to be careful on some of these roads as they can be pretty bumpy and narrow and have long drops off the side!

    What a fantastic National Park. There is so much to look at. The water falls would make a great bike wash.

      +SoopaBee Thanks mate. It is a great place. Giving a little snippet of it in my other video made me want to gather all my footage together and create a full video. I could have made an hour long video of the place, there is that much to see.

    Great video mate!! Really loved the trip up there via your cameras, it's a great place that I've only visited a couple of times. Loved the mix of different footage to follow your narrative - worked really well.
    No wonder you don't drink coffee... that super fast narrative at the first lookout...wow!!!
    Of course Animal had to make an appearance - it always helps to see the look on his face :)
    I see you left me out of a video, just like I did you :-P Actually I think I might have been out of shot on just a couple of bits...?
    Great stuff mate, we should be getting paid by the tourism people, I reckon ;-)

    • @MrAusadventure
      @MrAusadventure  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +CaptainCranky Thanks mate. You'll have to come up and do one of the trails with me some time. You'd love it!
      Yep, no need for coffee! lol
      Yes, unfortunately the video was getting too long, so the bits of footage featuring you were left out. I think you were indeed right behind me when I filmed that bit with Animal.
      I think we need to share our videos with the relevant tourism authorities for sure. Especially yours!

    Superb views, just amazing & mystical!! Can't believe how close you were to the cliff edges. Definitely a favourite vid ever! :D

    • @MrAusadventure
      @MrAusadventure  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Nick Islington Biker Oh yeah, you'd love it! TH-cam just does not do the views justice. You can hardly see anything compared to the views in real life. Which cliff edges? When I was riding or walking? Or both? lol

    • @NickIslingtonBiker
      @NickIslingtonBiker 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      The walking clip from 7.05 onwards in the vid gave me chills and thrills at the same time, although you might have held camera on the extender, still very close to edge!!
      I agree with Captain Cranky that you both should be appointed representative for Australian tourism :D

    • @MrAusadventure
      @MrAusadventure  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Nick Islington Biker Oh yeah, I had the GoPro on the end of a pole. The first clips at the bottom of the falls I was standing on a bridge and leaning over the railing. At the top of the falls there is also a railing at the lookout I was standing on. Perfectly safe! I can't get too close to edges when there is no railing!

    • @NickIslingtonBiker
      @NickIslingtonBiker 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha, good to hear. It does look scary not seeing railings on the footage ;-)

Animal loves getting out there and playing up. He is an Animal after all. He got up to more mischief over the weekend too. I'll put his pics up on FB soon.

    • @MrAusadventure
      @MrAusadventure  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +troyboy986 I have to be honest. "The green behind the gold" is not mine, it's a tourism slogan that I love! Yep, you've been saying that for a while now! lol
      Likewise, I need to get up and see North Queensland. I have three lots of friends up there visiting right now! It's hard to get away when you have commitments though.

  • @mrcombi
    @mrcombi 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes, the beauty of the Gold Coast... Glad you didn't miss 'the best of all lookout' as many do... And you mentioned the 'natural arch'... ]

    • @MrAusadventure
      @MrAusadventure  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +mrcombi The Best Of All Lookout is always a must see when I take visitors up there.
      I have not jumped through the arch but I remember seeing people doing it back in the 1980's when there was a bridge going over the top. I think someone died there from memory, so they removed the bridge and re-routed the path so that it no longer went up top.

  • @MotoLexy
    @MotoLexy 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    I used to tell people in my limo the same thing, they only get the main tourist type of advertising on TV in Sydney and Melbourne. I used to tell them to head up the mountains and things like that. You know much more of that area then I ever did, I know some of it, but it's been too long, forgotten the roads and I never seen that many waterfalls up there. Beautiful place, this is where I say there's 2 parts of the GoldCoast, the shitty night life and all the good stuff.

    • @MrAusadventure
      @MrAusadventure  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +MotoLexy&SupaNautica Yeah, you have to get off the beaten track to see the real Australia. So many people that live locally have not even been up there which I find amazing. Even those who have lived on the Gold Coast their whole lives.

    awesome vid man. i really enjoyed that. it's no surprise that it's a little know secret. i think a lot of us are guilty of not visiting some of the beautiful locations we hav right in our back yards. "it's the green behind the gold" - i like it!

    • @MrAusadventure
      @MrAusadventure  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +shineesideup Yeah. I find it very strange that there are plenty of people I know on the Gold Coast who have been here for many years that have never been to Springbrook. Even though it is less than an hour from most parts of the city. Crazy. Maybe not everyone is an adventurous explorer like I am?

    • @theshineesideup
      @theshineesideup 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      i think it's kinda human nature. we need to go to a far-away location to feel like we're getting away, so we miss out on the things right around the corner. i knew a guy who lived on the gc who used to holiday on the sunshine coast. i'd say to him "so you live in one of the best holiday destinations in the world and you holiday elsewhere".

    • @MrAusadventure
      @MrAusadventure  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +shineesideup Yeah, true. I have had many a weekend away at the Sunshine Coast. Love it up there. But yeah, I have been all the way around the world, but have still not seen the outback, Tasmania, north QLD or ventured further west than Adelaide here. I know quite a few people from other countries online who have seen more of Australia than I have!
