Great to see you guys back in one of my favorite ranges again! I did Mt. Lowe and Mt. Markham back in mid-June with the marine layer, so the weather was cool and breezy before the July heat set in!

That's awesome! It was sunny and warm, but not too hot. We got pretty lucky. Thanks for watching!

Nice hike and great info. A well produced video (like all of your videos. You guys are fun to watch). Is that aerial camera a Mavik Air by chance?

Thank you! Yep, that's the Mavic Air. I love that drone because I can just shove it in my backpack without much worry of breaking it.

Recognized it by the boomerang shot! I’ve been coveting the air 😜. Terrific footage. Thanks for sharing!!!

Do you need a permit to camp here? Thanks!

It's a hike-in, no reservation, no fee campground. If you park where we did inside the National Forest, you'll need an Adventure Pass displayed.

I used to live in Altadena not far from the Cobb Estate and attended Loma Alta Elementary school. i made my 1st hike to Echo Mountain and Mt Lowe in 1965 when I was 11 years old by myself oblivious to such things as Mountain Lions and bears. That was basically my playground. Later I would ride my Honda 90 up the Mt Lowe road before it was gated and locked. I camped at the Mt Lowe campground alone when I was 12. Great memories. Thanks for the video
