The first youtuber I’ve found that has an actual comprehensive breakdown of the game and it’s dinos instead of top 10’s, etc. Because of your content and I’m super new to ark I’ve only been playing a few weeks, I’ve managed to win plenty of pvp fights and avoid being wiped. I was getting super burned on the game because getting built up seemed impossible if I get wiped every day and my dinos get killed. The crystal wyvern and arthro, awesome! Hiding loot, awesome. I found a good server so far, and some of the alphas gave me a mana, and on my first return to the server I started on I pvp’d the guy who griefed me every day in a mana and caught him uploading all his tames and now I have a sihton of dinos that were all his! Revenge is a sweet sweet taste!
I knew nothing about the snow owl, in about 30 minutes i have a pretty damn good idea of how it works. Very informative video, especially for newer players.
12:30 U can do something similiar with griffin too. All u have to do is dive forward at full speed and when your griffin starts running on the ground you look down and press spacebar and everytime you do this griffin will reset its speed to max

The grounded freeze can last longer as long as you hold right click, while the freeze bomb has a limited duration. When a dino or player takes damage from an enemy source or a flamethrower, they unfreeze in 2 seconds. You can also force your owl to freeze until it loses stamina without being mounted by pressing e and dismounting at the same time (you have to make sure to run out of the freeze range if you don't want to be stuck).
Rev, I know pvp and pvp mechanics are more your thing but any chance you could look at doing a turret/base building masterclass. A do's and don't for turret setting and placement in order to avoid getting caught out by metas such as flak run, PT bomb, LoS rockets, turtle bomb, build away from the edge of cliffs or make sure turrets hang over the edge, etc. And maybe some counters such at metal fence foundations, bear traps, plant X, etc that would help.
I know I’m 11 months late but really the best way to learn building is to raid a lot. After doing a number of raids you learn what works and what doesn’t. Defense is really the easier part of building. Actual base design is where advanced base building really comes into play. When your setting up turrets do like 1/4 of your turrets at random ranges and random enemy targeting. This will stretch out raids for a very long time. Really when building just think of it from a raiding POV rather than a building POV
Regarding the first PvP technique (under that named section of the video). I think a more concise way to put it would be that Roots and Stuns don't stack, but do override each other. I can see what the devs were initially thinking with this mechanic turned exploit/emergent feature. If you're taming, most things you can Bola, you can also knock using Darts or Tranqs within the duration time of that Bola. However there are some things that will take at least two Bolas (such as a Tapejara). One can't reasonably wait for the effect of a bola to wear off in order to throw another. That would risk a tame (or in pvp a player) getting away. So there are two rational ways in which the devs could have handled this. Either all timers stack. In which case one could spam a stack of bolas at an already rooted player within the space of about 15 seconds and the player would be rooted for 4 minutes after that. Or they could make it so that each instance of a root or stun overrides and resets the timer of a previous root or stun. They clearly went with the latter as the best of two imperfect options for making roots and stuns actually viable.
You are the best man. Legitimately. Your content is superb and genuinely teaches me something. I can tell you're a young guy, and a bright guy, so I won't give the unsolicited advice of "keep it up! " because you might have other shit going on, but you could definitely be really successful at content creation if you're not already.
You can freeze Dino’s infinitely with the snow owl, you need two snow owls. use one snow owl to freeze your other snow owl for a moment. as soon as the other snow owl leaves freeze that one should freeze the soaker and it’ll infinitely heal without stamina cool down :)

They removed the grapple and mount thing, because you could use small dinos like sheep's to cross the map in 3 seconds, and bomb yourself into turret walls

It can't be outclassed in healing because no other dino heals wild dinos. While the Daedon also heals, it's not useful for tame assists. Perfect example is recently I managed to put down a 150 dino. A few minutes later, I returned to find a carnivore munching on it. I quickly killed the carnivore, though the unconscious dino now had double digits health left. That meant I couldn't possibly re-tame it to get the 100% effective bonus. That's when I remembered my tribemate tamed a snow owl a while ago. I then burrowed his owl to completely heal up the wild dino and let it wake up. I knocked it out again and instantly tamed it for the 100% effective bonus. That's something the Daedon could never do. They're both healers, though they both excel in different utilities.
I'm playing on ps4 duo with a buddy on a good server we are both very experienced and have gotten pretty established in one day just need more memebers.
I was pvping someone who was on an owl while I was on a trop. Most times if your on a flyer and I'm on a trop your in alot of trouble. But this player who was on the owl out maneuvered me. This doesn't happen usually but this player was a master flyer. Practice practice practice.
GEAT VID BUT: you didnt mention 2 quite MAJOR things 1 - healing glitch .. where u dont ahve to sit and hold RMB .. you just (depending on lag) double click RMB to glitch it. 2 - and this is HUUUUUUUUGE ... owl diveing acros enemy caves and deathwalls .. make a mindwipe and HP char .. hp owl .. spuerspeed it in cave with face touching the ceiling so dont get shot by tek MEATRUN THE CAVE :D .... as shown on Rotaderp video done by TPG Fabi the owl king :D
Yoo i swear the owl is great but i hate the fly off when you freeze thing. I once froze a wyvern guy and i went to grapple him to club him out. He got lucky that i missed the grapple, i look next to me for my owl, the owl was just flying away and i died xD.
Yeah it's just a really silly way to patch the exploit. It's like if there was an exploit where the Giga could teleport and they just removed it from the game and call it a "fix". They took away all other functionality for this rather than just making sheep and mantis ungrappleable (which is still a bandaid solution) and that's still a much better solution
@@RevPVP im pretty sure there were a few more dinos you could’ve done the glitch with. I actually tried it out myself on the megalania and the scorpion. It is still a very lazy way to patch an exploit tho. But what do we truly expect from wildcard…
The griffin can do that same dive glitch, its the reason i even found out the owl can do that is because i knew it from the griffin and tested it on the owl since it also could dive, unless it was removed from the griffin

How do you freeze someone and use a microraptor at the same time? I usually end up freezing the microraptor unless I froze it recently and it still has the cooldown.
No, you can't heal enemies, It was disabled in 309.53, Removed the Snow Owl heal effect on enemy players and enemy-tamed creatures (wild creatures are still affected). I hope you pin my comment so everybody know, Thanks!

That's because you freeze the tame and not the player. It's the same mechanic.
