Try This If Your Polaris Oil Pressure Relief Valve Is Stuck (COMMON FAILURE)

Do you have an oil pressure relief valve thats stuck on your polaris sportsman, ranger, or rzr. This is super common to fail on 600,700, & 800cc machines. They can stick open and closed. We show a little tech tip/hack to get that stuck plunger out of the engine without taking the oil pump out! Do this at your own risk... It may work, but may not. Ours was stuck bad and this got it out! This may also be called "PRV". Replace the old one with the updated style to fix the problem for good! This will cause engine damage when stuck open, and can cause oil filters to blow out and lifters to over pressurize causing a no start. This was a poor design by polaris and has caused a lot of failed engines.

a lot of people say use 2 5/16 ball bearings . Don’t buy a cheap Amazon oil pressure relief valve guard . I did and the top has now snapped off , now i’m trying to use a easy out . lessons learn i think i’m going with the ball bearing’s because someone on rzrNet had the guard get stuck

Yea there's an expensive one for 150$ as well. This one seemed decent, but time will tell

@@oliverracinggaming8859 seems to be good, did not come back from customer as of yet, has been riding it since without issue, I will say the cheap ones I had one break the top off on a RZR I would recommend the expensive one if you wanted the best chance long term
