Then look again it added three 0 mana 0/1 not 3/4
Wrong, adam. It adds "3 copies with +3+3", so even if the card showed 0/1, it's actually 3/4 when you draw it.
hagatha got mostly big minions a shit ton of removal and 100 health, a 3/4 taunt wont stop them..
While that is a potential upside, it is still relaying on card draw while giving the opponent a 3/4 taunt. Point being that upside is useless unless you live to draw it and besides there are better things to draw.
To be fair he realized immediately after the restarted his turn
I wonder which is better: holding eaglehorn bow forever when you can't kill anything with it, or a lifesteal weapon with infinite charges, hmm

How to win against hagatha every time: get call of the wild, play each hero with Tess as the last one, play 2 call of the wilds every turn, win.

Hagatha was such a pushover, I just played each hero on the turn I was able and destroyed her cause of passive treasures being broken
Yeah with double spells combined with Tess hero power if you got animal companion or call of the wild and just spam it over and over again you quite easily win (you also want some hard removal for amalgations but getting two taunts each turn also works pretty well)
hmm... actually hagatha is really broken alot of the times, i mean i beat her on the third attempt but when hagatha highrolls... you just lose.
Yeah same, first game I played super conservative and tried to save all the hero cards and next game I just played all of them and kept removing minion and dagger with sabotage.
In that case it's pretty equal.

I could make this one look hard too. I came up with the double call strategy, but had a lot of problems surviving midgame until I could use it (since I waited for the amalgamates to go off)

Every time I've watched Trump struggle in a game (AI or real opponent), it has always been to the same flaw. He values "value" over just killing someone to death. Sometimes you should just kill someone to death, and the Hagatha fight is one of those times. Play each hero on curve and the treasure will be too much for the old Hag to handle.
only because all the pve in recent years is literally designed to be so easy a complete beginner could beat it. trump plays the encounter as if it's meant to be a long drawn out fight the way you would expect a hard boss to be. basically the equivalent of buying 10 potions, only using 2, and accidentally dying.
I really liked the mechanics for this fight, was a ton of fun.

I initially also played it out like Trump and thought "let's maximize the value before switching!". Then Amalgamate screwed me a few times.
Then when I won, it was due to just making a few early swaps on curve (Toki into Tess) and riding the value of having 3 Passive treasures for so long. Double Spells + 1 mana hero power Tess + Blizzard/Animal Companion = Unlimited Stalling + Value!
I beat this in like 10 minutes, I rushed through all my hero changes for the treasures and got the double the 1st spell into call of the wild with 1 cost hero ability on tracker, I just filled my board every turn.

... Yeeup. It really is "Puzzle boss: Do you realize you can combo treasures up to x2 cast Call of the Wild whenever there's space on your board." It's actually kind of lame once you notice that.
That actually requires alot of luck to discover call of the wild from a pool of 30+ spells that get cast by that time.
Maaan, haven't seen anyone have this much trouble with Hagatha.
For someone that loves value, Trump really doesn't appreciate getting those Monster Hunt passives as early as possible.

@wood Its actually quite easy to get one shot by a 30/30 or so amalgamate when you have no removal.

I just finished the Monster Hunt. For Hagatha I went to Toki, same as you, and then I generated as many hex spells as I could and hex'd all her big minions. Beat her in fatigue. It was just hex after hex after hex, until I finally had board control, and her hand emptied. She burned one weapon and I was able to play weapon removal instantly on the other one. I think that's important too.
Damn this was hard to watch...
When he passed on Maelstrom Portal with Acidmaw in hand, I died a little inside.
Double spell treasure and entrenchment makes this boss so easy when combined with call of the wild!!!
I dont see how trump can hate shaw so much, but love Toki. Yes I really really love being a hero that has nothing but RNG effects with a hero power that maybe averages out her crappy RNG rolls as opposed to one who can constantly maintain a strong board.
i was surprised when he kept hating on shaw's hero power in the beginning, but thinks that toki's hero power is strong...then i saw that he managed to make this fight look difficult...not surprised anymore. trump is just bad at evaluating aspects of the game now...he is so far behind other pros/streamers when it comes to game decision and knowledge now, he's just a meme tier hearthstone streamer at this point
Yeah, I don't get that. Without any RNG cards, Toki's Hero Power is literally the worst hero power in the game lol. It doesn't do anything if you have no RNG effects
If you misplay as much as he does, turn rewind effect seems better :p
Having said that, as often as not he rewound and then played even worse, so...
I don't understand everyone saying they can't watch this, seeing trump's bad plays as a handicap for hagatha makes this so much funnier to watch. Who wants to watch the ai get stomped? If you do just play it yourself

But its not. Trump is being serious and this was the outcome. He's suppose to be some amazing player, but he's struggling against the easiest final boss in Hearthstone.
I found this video to be very entertaining. I was really hoping the match would spiral out of control at the end though, lol.
I spent the whole game rooting for hagatha basically lmao, its no fun watching the ai get stomped. its one of the things that made me love heroic Naxx cause it was pure bullshit and the bosses felt like actual threats (also the card pool was way smaller but thats besides the point)

Something for everyone to consider:
- Content is not fun if it's not unique. What some people see as "bad play" is more or less "fun content". To make something "interesting" is to not make everything easy, and repetitive. Especially if players have already played it this way. Yes, such things could be adressed, but that isn't always the case with content creators.
- For a content creator, playing as good as possible must be the outmost boring thing on earth. It will even be boring to watch, if it's the only type content available.
- Trump does have content where he plays seriously. For example when he played to get 15 000 dollars in Kobolds vs Catacombs. This is a different type of content from a lot of other videos. The "Meme Value" is a consideration of "the fun in making, and watching a video"
I just think it's bad when someone purposefully plays badly in order to extend the duration of the video. Every TH-camr has their sense of humor. Trump's seems to be taking the same card over and over. The problem is: people got annoyed. If it was something like deck of wonders, perfect, meme card. But flanking strike is so boring

I think Toki gave me "recast every spell I cast", so I just kept taking "Call of the Wild" with Tess to fill my board every turn.
Games like this is the reason why I don't watch his videos as much as I used to.
What you get past the onslaught of overload spells and you clear out her minions is actually just a cakewalk just use tess to chease kill command

I'll give y'all a 90% way to win.
Step one take lunar signet for applebaum and sludgebelcher
After that switch to toki as soon as you can BUT you have to have a glaivezooka equipped
Pick the double time treasure DO NOT USE GLAIVEZOOKA and switch to Crowley as soon as you can
Once that's done take pillage the fallen (when your weapon is destroyed equip a random weapon) and use up the glaivezooka
Switch to Tess and get use your hero power twice a turn and proceed to spam call of the wild with double time. That's an almost surefire way to win
For all those in the comments raging at Trump's plays...do you know what channel you're watching? Since when is Trump known for his skill at the game? His trademark is: 1) taking forever each turn, yet 2) still making decisions just as the rope is about to burn out, and then 3) fucking up majorly. You could add 4) taking two more turns than the average human to figure out he's been playing the deck/encounter wrong the whole time. Since this is single player, only 3) and 4) apply. Yes, he can take FOREVER to make his decisions and he will still get them wrong all the time.

To be fair, I got pretty lucky. I used that robot which gives each player a weapon, in order to destroy her lifesteal weapon. By sheer luck, the death-rattle of the weapon she got was "your hero power becomes deal 2 damage". Since I kept regenerating life with First Aid Kit, it made her Hero Power really useless (and I blocked infinite value generation). Eventually she ran out of gas, and boom

I got the passive that doubles spells, and just doubled into the wild every turn. 2 4/4s, 2 6/4 taunts, and 2 6/2 charges. Every turn. Nobody can match that kind of value.

I had SUCH a hard time trying to defeat Infinite Toki, it was just ridiculous. But Hagatha... I defeated her on the first try, full health. When you get to the point of playing Tess, it's such an absurd number of options you have. And of course, with 4 passive treasures, it's pretty hard to lose.
Playing Tess after getting First Aid and Double Time, get Cult of the Wolf and start casting Call of the Wild every other turn (Have Muklahs Champion out for bonus points) and this fight is over in ten minutes.
How did I beat Hagatha in the time it takes to make your average Grilled Cheese and you took the better part of an HOUR?
Hagatha is easy, you just pick double time and one cost tess hero power and spam call of the wild

Trump you could have saved call of the wild, played Toki and chose first spell casts twice, switched to Tess and get hero power costs 1 less and auto-win
This game is actually insanely easy. You pick spell damage +3 and hero power cost 1 less and use it twice. The result is you basically go dig for a board wipe every turn (In deck: warpath, blizzard, brawl...) Then you stall until hagatha fatigues to death.
Or. Just get Toki, get double spell passive, get tess, play Call of the Wild, dig for Call of the wild. Repeat and win.
This fight was pretty fun. Seemed a little easy to abuse though. I won by getting double time and cult of the wolf and then casting call of the wild twice every turn.
Everyone criticizing him for taking it safe haha. Better to beat it for sure first try, than to rush it and fail. Also, he got lucky. When hagatha played Glinda (all minions echo) she then spammed 8/8 arcane giants for 0 mana haha. Had to whip out some brutal blizzards and board clears for that.

ummm am i missing something at 40 mins in he has lethal with the fireball doing 12 damage and the extra damage from minions/weapons?
Other than the missed lethal that was just an oversight... I think rewinding at 37:50 was a huge mistake. He can clear the board and Hagatha is almost card dead... It was a clear winning game at this point. Rewinding a 'do nothing' scroll of wonders (well, almost nothing) could discard your hand or something like that. And as the game is already won unless a big RNG effect screws you, there was little to no benefit. Only gives that big RNG effect a chance to happen.
At this point I'd even take any "slightly bad" outcomes for me and not rewind, rather than risking it all.
Took me way more tries to beat Hagatha because I didn't realize that First Aid Kit also healed face, so I never picked it.

I've honestly never even heard of someone losing to Hagatha... literally the only thing you have to do is play the hero cards on curve and you can't lose...
How i beat hagatha. She evovled 2 lich kings. Got major domo, transformed into rag i beat her. Bascially did73 points of damage in one turn. Didn't even use tinker, tho did use tess to get a few spells back then cannoneer to help clear the board of taunts.
I used Shaw: First Aid Kit, Toki: Double Time, Crowley: Tactical Reinforcements and Tess: Cult Of The Wolf, in that order. With Tess being last, Hagatha had already used her amalgamates, so I stockpiled and spammed Call Of The Wild (which triggered twice due to Double Time)... Worked well enough for me.

For some reason he thinks each hero has it's own deck so you lose all the cards from other the other ones, and he also seems to forget you keep the passives or something. Trump's getting old man.

in hearthstone you can REPLAY it however you want to the point some random stranger expect a PERFECT gameplay of hearthstone. on every detail without even a single wrong-play.
the BIG PROBLEM is there are no PERFECT solution to any hearthstone match because your so called PERFECT solution may lead to your lose in a match while some bad gameplay doesn't affect the end result at all.
don't "What if they do this and do that" since your suggestion may sound good but it may ruin the match as well.
i have seen bunch of nerd winning hearthstone ranked match with bad gameplay.
this is why trump is no longer competitive...he managed to make the hagatha boss fight look difficult

Trump is a lot better than me at hearthstone. However, watching him pick a 4 Mana make a 3/3 into a nigh infinite lifestealing 3 atk weapon repeatedly made me want to run my head through a wall.
You're giving him too much credit. Trump nowadays really just netdecks, changes 1-2 cards and proceeds to run said decks.
I used to be like, "Going for value is just Trump's playstyle, it's alright," but this was just painful to watch.
if he were actually playing for value, he'd get the passives as soon as possible so he's playing the entire game with a bunch of cheap cards being doublecasted forever with a 1 mana hero power that can be used twice to keep adding OP cards to your hand. he also somehow valued resetting turns and relying on RNG instead of going for consistency

He actually might be playing it slightly more close to how they intended for a fun fight, otherwise she really is just play for Tess and ignore the rest of the hero’s.

My board is full of buffed minions, her board is just some random 12/12 that i can Infinity Fireball. I have 5 missiles, 4 fireball, 1 execute and a poisioned weapon [after you attack, discover a spell and cast it] for >4 turn straight and skip (BM) to see if she have any answer left after corruption and two amalgamate being answered by polymorph and mana bind
I beat this easily first time within like 10 minutes... Trump what are you doing ahah
Trump's misunderstandings of the mechanic of the fight were so frustrating, they're not that hard to figure out, which is why I first-tried her.

I beat her first try just rushing all hero cards ending up spamming jade lightning as Tess. 2x hero power, 2x Jade lightning with Tokis 2x Casts.
Only issue i had were killing off jades to get room for bbigger jades. O.o
