    Correct with care:
Correcting unwanted behaviors by staying relationally connected with them.

STILL patiently awaiting a series about how to restore relationships with adult, grown children.
This is now my 3rd or 4th request...

      I'm just a Father of 10.
Having a humble and approachable heart that does not come across as entitled of their submission/compliance is a start.

Work on your connection to Immanuel and I think you will find yourself more able to work towards what you desire with your other relationships.

    So true about JOY….

Such helpful information. Love how he emphasizes being creative in parenting and avoiding shame based responses. Keeping joy in the care and discipline is so important. However, cannot see how parents can implement these character building traits until they also operate this way in their own relationships. Lots of patterns and baggage comes into every marriage. It would great to be coached more by this man as a parent and grandparent.

So we can cultivate and grow joy?

  • @Boipelo_Lekwane

So when do we invite children to the adult emotions and feelings especially during a challenging period like a job loss etc?

Are some people more inclined to be joyous or? Their propensity (genetically motivated) to be 'easily' joyful?

Last time I needed help and I contact to the number they give at the podcast I watched, I ended up with someone telling me only he is sorry for my situation and prayed for me. I probably don't really know how Focus on the Family helps in specific cases.
Podcasts are a blessing, but is that all? Because I said I had no money. I guess I just couldn't get a COUCH for some reason I ignore.

I see that you didn’t do what I asked you to do so what needs to happen so you can learn from this so that it doesn’t happen again ?
