Signal whatever’s left of the Sixth Legion to come about and reinforce the west flank. Pull the Fifth out of the Old Quarter to do the same. I’ll find whatever’s left of the Fourteenth and take on the enemy at the palace. Go!”
Vitallion is the main reason that I wish ryse's campaign was much longer. He's such a funny badass, I wish that we had more opportunities to see his backstory and most importantly, fight scenes.
Yeah, the story should've been longer but sadly Ryse was commissioned as a flagship game for the Xbox one, wo they had to focus on graphics more than anything else
I see people having trouble coming to terms with this game's historical inaccuracies, and from a certain point of view yes they can be annoying. But there are so many in this game I think people have to learn to understand that this game wasn't going for historical accuracy. It simply wanted to make players feel like a badass roman and fill you with patriotic thoughts for the empire. I think this track in particular and Vitallion himself give off that vibe and showcase what I am talking about perfectly.
Except the writers clearly didn't want the player to feel good about the "Empire". They wanted you to feel good about the Roman Republic, basically they wanted Gladiator, but they didn't do not even half of what Gladiator did in order to make that story about the republic rising from the ashes of the fallen empire to work. I would have loved if this game had not only done right when it came to the story of Boudicca, but also done right when it came to the idea of fighting for a return to a Republic and it's ideals, but instead we got a very nonsensical story, about a tribe that somehow has enough strength to march all the way into Rome, and assault the city, this during the peak of Roman military power. Completely ridiculous, not even fucking Hannibal managed to do it during a time period that Rome was in a far weaker state, and he had a professional veteran army, all Boudicca had in the game was war elephants. utterly ridiculous. There is so much potential in a action game about Rome, and it is sad that it was completely wasted in this game.
sorry, I'm not watching a 7 hours long historical documentary about the Roman Empire and the 14th Legion. I am playing a videogame, so I could care less.
@@thy_precious_catto1065 I took it more as a myth that would have been told or passed down in the mid-Imperial or post Crisis of Third Century Rome. The exaggerated imagery of 'barbarian' Britannia, the battle of wits between higher powers, the dastardliness of the occupant of the Imperial throne - it'd only make sense through a mythical lens, not one that cleaves closer to 'our' history.
Funny actually. I just read on Vitalian in wikipedia. It said Commander Vitallion once rebelled against emperor rome, Anastasius. He was decisive defeated by an Admiral named, Marinus. This game is like another world or another life for these two. In this world they may be enemy, but in the game are close friends and ally who trust each other. I really love it. I only read it briefly, here the link @t
wtf do you mean "to rome this game was awesome" This game made a joke of the Roman Military. Complete lack of unit cohesion and discipline.. Are you telline me that a fucking legionnaire can get on board of a random boat and command the troops in that boat? he's just a fucking legionnaire, where is the centurion to put that fucker in his place? And that is before even talking about the absolute insanity that it is the idea that a barbarian army would just be able to casually march from roman gaul burning everything in its path all the way to the city of Rome. If the game had been based during the late Roman Empire this would make some sense, but no, they decided to base the story during the time of Boudicca, where the Roman army was still at the peak of its strenght in both terms of manpower and discipline. This game, although it was a great cinematic masterpiece, made an absolute joke of the Roman army and its capabilities.
tbh his centurion died him and his men had no leader at that time so he took command which is kindof realistic since i think they would respect and follow the son of a great general and politician
He was a Decurion actually.. He had a feathered helmet in all scenes and battles where he even wore a helmet. He wasn't any less than a Decurion, so that automatically makes him a squad leader.
I already thought about it myself. I guess it's just an old rivalry thought. I don't like them doesn't mean I hate them, just that I like to mock them whenever there's an opportunity. :D
They can’t make another a Roman game with music as intense and glorious like this idk what it does to my ears but it definitely makes me think of spilling blood for a Roman Empire or in the gladiatorial arenas we need Ryse 2
Rome continues to be an inspiration for many Imperial Guard regiments for a reason.
Same vibes.

The game was meant to be Rome under an alternate timeline, so of course there were numerous historical inaccuracies.
no one is talking about inaccuracies, that would be stupid

Lived, fought, and died (T^T) like a boss. Fitting theme, one of facing the odds, for ROME !!!!
Centurios were famous for fighting in the front rows were the casualty rates were the highest. Ancient leaders were built different.
thank you!!!! vitallion would be so proud ^____^
We march for York!
Best moments in this game: Marius's stand by the docks of York and vitallions charge
Vitallion IS a badass man
He is indeed
Damn i just get chills from this tune,.
I love vitalion and marius
Captain V...badass to the end
0:14 i love this part
I dont know why...
I was looking for this! Thank you!
At 00:43 when the last enemy alive on apex teabags with you...
Vitallion is a true roman
"Can't let you have all the Glory now can, I?"
This game is way Underrated.
I would follow Commander Vitallion to the gates of hell if he had to march on hell!!!
The beginning has a Witcher 3 feel to it
A random Battle brother Maybe Witcher 3 has a feel to its beggining ?
“By the Gods. There’s no end to the filthy bastards! We have to hold them here.”
The nostalgia
Nostalgic
I didn't realize how epic this was until I joined a Roblox War Clan that had this playing.
Fire at will!
Good job centurion ✊🏻
This game didn't do very much right, but they did a damn good job on the music.

For the God Emperor…
Do you have the music from whenever you enter the Colosseum?
Rest in peace tp those roman soilders who got killed and what did they did for rome may they rest

Even though I don't like the Romans and didn't like this game: Great job! Vitallion had his epic last moment!
why you don't like romans mate?
I already thought about it myself. I guess it's just an old rivalry thought. I don't like them doesn't mean I hate them, just that I like to mock them whenever there's an opportunity. :D
jajajaja, plenty of things to mock, think they are allmighty in war --> teutoburg forest, canae, etc xDD
:D exactly. Though to be fair, they came pretty close to allmighty.
yeah, but they were to prideful on the matter, that was no good
