Volvo changed the designs earlier after the factory break in August (holidays). By the way, because of the bumpers and the small rear lights, this model cannot be from 1973. In 1972 and 1973 the first optical changes (rear lights for example) were made compared to the first version.
Agree . We got a new 164 in September 1972 and it was a 1973 model. Many differences from this one including more chrome trim, new black dash, different chrome badges at rear etc. Also a roof aerial.

Very nice 👌 classic car 🚗 is the Volvo 164. Made in Sweden 🇸🇪. Over 50 years old in 2024. 👍
