I live near Legoland but my two sons are teenagers now and we don't go anymore. Back when they were young we got an annual Merlin pass (which gives you access to a lot of attractions) and would head off after school at 3pm and after a 10 minute drive we would be at Legoland midweek in the late afternoon to enjoy 2 hours there with no queues. I enjoyed the place; good for the young kids and the Pirate Show was a must-see.
We live and learn. What Fabulous place. When I thought of Lego land never thought of it as a theme park . Don’t know what I expected but I throughly enjoyed this Darren. Thank you. I never would be there now at my time of life so I’m glad you showed me round. Well done.
Thank you ❣️❣️. Darren 👋🏻👋🏻
The SkyLion ride was added when I went in October 2022. Looks like the Minifigure coaster doesn’t accommodate the larger adults, given what the seat looked like. I didn’t know what to expect with the dragon ride - you get used to it being a dark ride, then suddenly you’re out the back of the castle on a rollercoaster! One of the cool things about Miniland is the Easter Eggs they have - little hidden features that you might miss, like the little old bird woman on the steps of St Paul’s, like in Mary Poppins, and the Simpsons family in a crowd of people. They also add/hide Halloween figures when it’s that time of year.
Hello Darren, Great video as always, interesting fact, just read this about The Hill Train. The Hill Train is a funicular railway, it is the only surviving remnant of Windsor Safari Park which closed in 1992.
There is a video about Safari Parks in the 60s and show the ranger jumping out of Ford Anglia and give antibiotic with a bow and arrow and and running fast and just getting back in the car before Lion got him.. It would interesting to have Fun watching pre H and S Fun.. 8:10
Very good! Went once in 2005 but haven't been back since. Last went to Chessington in 1990 when the Vampire first opened! So good to see how they both look now. Enjoy all your videos, whatever the subject. The Dragon coaster was built by WGH of Doncaster and their MD was involved with Mimafab who later became Big Country Motioneering. Both companies had various name changes over the years so it all gets a bit complicated, but there's certainly a connection with the Ultimate!
The worst ride was the last one of the day. 1.5 hour queue to get out of the car park. Seems to be because many car parks converge on a only 2 barriers and you need proof of paying via a barcode on the Legoland app or a printed barcode for parking at the exit. Parking payment isn't checked on entrance and I assume most of the wait was for people who didn't know they had to pay for parking until they tried to leave and then had to pay at the barrier. £10 for parking by the way.
Ya just like me. I never been drayton unti i was 50 😂I do remember lego land being built though I was in army days so around 93-95 .. gonna Google now but thats my memory
Funny; when my kids were young they just wanted to go the Knott's Berry Farm, Disneyland and Magic Mountain but never Legoland. Speaking of Q-lines, the best one I have been through is the Q for the Indiana Jones Ride at Disneyland. Looks like you had a good day, thanks for your time, work and posting..........
Wish you would have waited and planned to go with me dude, I had no idea you had never been before lol 😂 awesome vlog by the way and I love LEGOLAND Windsor
Rain aisde, the best day to visit Legoland and take it all in is an off peak day. Its surprising how much can be enjoyed alone as the bulk of the big rides have family appeal. Been caught out on the Lig Flume rules before, they are since the great shutdown of 2021, it is a soaker though lol
We went last Saturday and bought the ultimate pass. Brilliant day with a 6 year old and 3 1/2 year old as we had the pass it meant the older child could get quickly jump on the rides the younger one wasn’t big enough or without having to split up for a long time. Also when they enjoyed a ride we could jump straight back on. Expensive but worth it for a special day
We didn’t enjoy it last time, think I’ve mentioned the queue lengths & the rip off of the ‘upgrade’ system. Live local too, so disappointing, best bit for us was mini land. ❤you seem to have got a quiet day, we queued for ages.
Shame the Rapids are closed for good . Was it expensive to get in . Looking forward to see your thoughts on chessington, ive been there a few times but think its its overpriced.
@AdventureMe I wish I did the weather was horrible that day got so wet and if you ever go back stay away from the breakfast we stopped in the hotel and it was interesting
In the Legolands in the US, there's very little to do if you aren't a young kid. Their parks don't include much of anything for any other demographic other than small children. Unless you're a parent with a young kid, Legolands here are a complete bust, especially considering how expensive they tend to be as well.
we went .. stayed at the hotel ( the old one ) don't do that !! its nasty .... had a pass ... did 15 rides over 2 days ... not bad .. but the train fro the top was not working . the train " in the sky" was not working .... a few others as well.... we went in the summer time... so no excuse not to have everything open . My wife caught covid that landed her in hospital from Legoland but that's a whole other story !!
I wish you'd get back to the historical stuff, I hope that theme parks are just a temporary theme on the channel, There are plenty of stuff about all theme parks all over youtube that people can find quite easily, I don't think you're giving us anything here that's very interesting.
I am an adventure channel after all. I don't just do history. I do sometimes have a laugh. Lol. It's not like there's been a shortage of history vids this year, but plenty more to come don't worry.
Yes, I was also under the impression that Legoland didn't admit single adult men without children to their parks. Maybe they changed that rule after media pushback. Personally I have no problem with it. Far too many weirdos in society now.

When it was Windsor Safari park it featured in the early 1970’s in one of the One the Buses movies.
Quite right yes Mutiny On The Buses
Thanks for that video, Darren . I envisaged that in Legoland, everything would be made out of giant Lego bricks!
Live just outside Windsor, son used to Work on the hill train. Always happy to show you round windsor proper
Yeah I would love that for next time
I've been a few times but not for almost 20 years. Thanks for sharing what's it like now.

Enchantment - even on a dull, wet day.

Yeah that makes total sense.
Can't beat Blackpool... By far ,it is the best pleasure theme park in the UK. 😊
The worst ride was the last one of the day. 1.5 hour queue to get out of the car park.

If I recall correctly, I think on a good day you can see all the way to London from that hill at the start of the park.
I couldn't figure out Ninjago controls either. I was really surprised by Flight of the Sky Lion. Glad you enjoyed
I love watching you in theme parks Darren 😊 You credit monster! 😅
Me too haha. I'm chasing those thrills
Ya just like me. I never been drayton unti i was 50 😂I do remember lego land being built though I was in army days so around 93-95 .. gonna Google now but thats my memory
Hihi mouse
Use to be Windsor Safari Park back in the day Iv Been here

Next time! I had to take the opportunity whilst I was at Thorpe for Hyperia. Still can't believe it's been shut since.

Yeah that's a strange rule.
We went last Saturday and bought the ultimate pass. That funicular railway is one of the last remaining parts of Windsor Safari Park.
Really good video, enjoyed it 👍
Looks a nice park i must say. Have fun at chesington👍
mini land was the best bit !
I had it in my head that everything would be made of Lego for some reason
When are you coming to explore Gold Reef City and Ratunga Junction? Blessings and happy thoughts! Pretoria South Africa 😇🙏🤳🎭🦁🐯
We didn’t enjoy it last time, think I’ve mentioned the queue lengths & the rip off of the ‘upgrade’ system. Live local too, so disappointing, best bit for us was mini land. ❤you seem to have got a quiet day, we queued for ages.
You should try Paultons Park. We were pleasantly surprised.
Yeah I plan to pay a visit soon
@@AdventureMe we noticed it's very clean. Also had a wander round Peppa Pig World 😂
Shame the Rapids are closed for good . Was it expensive to get in . Looking forward to see your thoughts on chessington, ive been there a few times but think its its overpriced.
I've got a merlin pass, so I didn't pay entry.
I seen you when I was there could see my wife in the background 😊
You should have said hello
@AdventureMe I wish I did the weather was horrible that day got so wet and if you ever go back stay away from the breakfast we stopped in the hotel and it was interesting
Ahh 17.3.1996!

Yeah they aren't amazing in the US. But they might improve later.
Great video once again. That looked totally different to what I thought it was like 🤔.
How do the credits work please ??
Every coaster is a new credit. So you just note them in a list and count them up lol
@@AdventureMe oh. Simple as that 👍😂

Most repeated sentence 'I've never been' 🤣
True statement
surprised adults are allowed here alone
Why? On that basis adults shouldn’t visit toystores or the children’s clothing departments of stores by themselves either.
There's kids in all theme parks. So by that definition you have to have children to go to amusement parks. Hmmmm
I did think the same tbh. Not that I agree, but I do remember someone being turned away from Legoland in Manchester for not having children with them.
The Manchester experience you do need to be with children to experience. Legoland is a fantastic place to walk around@@sampoole9549
