I am ex professional musician and his level same as very intermediate. No special skills, no advances techniques nothing... I think it is good for your musical level, not for the people who really understand what he is doing really... They are very basic things what he is doing...

There are so many levels here to appreciate. The creativity, the inspiration, passion, phenomenal precision. Estas' music is transcendent, eternal. I wonder if casual listeners have any idea how difficult it is to play so comfortably at such a high level of skill.

It's simple but elementary school kid or any other top guitarist can't talk to souls of others through his music that why estas is special..
We all know the music he plays is not that complex but it's not music but how it's delivered matters most
And estas has that spiritual persona which very few guitarist has

To the haters: You are right! Estas is NOT a guitar "player". He doesn't memorize notes on a sheet of paper and then without any thought pluck with a pick making stylish rifts and shreds that can be copied by a good 6th grade class.
To the Lovers: There are no tabs. There will never be tabs. Why? Because as the haters pointed out He's not a guitar player. Estas "speaks" music. He uses thought, emotion, meditation, inspiration, experience and imagination to create songs that tell stories, convey thought and inspire hope, love and faith. His untitled "improvisations" are masterpieces. If you want to "learn" his songs: Listen, feel, Meditate. Get to know your instrument like a great singer must know their body. Throw away your sheet music and tabs, and actually "LISTEN" TO YOUR GUITARS VOICE. It has one. Pick up your guitar and feel what each chord, each strum says. Once you learn the language then you too will be able to tell stories with it, not just be a guitar player.

I have heard at least three different renditions of this piece by Estas Tonne and each of them is pure auditory art. I wish that I had a tenth of his musical talent.
This music keeps me in the present moment like nothing else matters. I feel his heart and the spirit world coming through with the vibrations of energy filling the air. He has something out of nothing like God...it all began with a sound.
As a Spanish guy myself, many people know Spain as the inventors of the Guitar. And as a person who comes from a musical family (including myself, I play flamenco), talent is not who can memorize things on a paper, talent is the one who can invent their own music with emotion, thoughts, trial and error. It's like a painter, you can trace and copy someones art, that is easy, but when you can make your own art piece, you are a true artist, you are creative, and you have succeeded against your challenges and hurdles. I'm a simple musician, I learn things from paper because I only play for fun, and flamenco is a good challenge. But I can tell you, this man is a musical artist.

You better check your history, Spain did not invent the guitar. The moors had an instrument called an "UD" that they brought with them when they conquered Spain. This instrument was the "grandfather" of the Spanish guitar. The Spanish improved upon the instrument and modern guitars are the same as that improved instrument. If i really want to be technical the Greeks actually had a stringed instrument similar to a guitar and that was really the basis for it all. Even that discounts the Egyptians who had a very guitar like instrument 3,500 years ago. So to say Spain invented the guitar is a stretch by any means.

It's irrelevant if he plays tecnicaly well or bad. Estas Tonne it's beyond that. He unites the elements, he's love and soul.

This great energetic music needs to be in an active space where people can get up and dance, not in a stuffy concert environment with everyone seated quietly and repressed, to be fully appreciated, is my initial thought here.

I don't know what all the negative comment are about, but I, as an artist, one who doesn't just hear, but truly listens, one who doesn't just see, but truly watches - I can feel his music, and when I listen and watch Estas play I can feel that he truly feels - and call me a hippie, call Estas a hippie, but that is what's important for me. The fact that there's soul in there, and the fact that it vibrates.
You keep making your music, Estas, exactly like you feel, and I, along many others, I'm sure, will keep on listening. Peace!

Somebody commented that we should listen to Vicento Amigo, Tomatito, Luis Salinas, Juanjo Domingues, Paco de Lucia, Manolo Sanlucar ... Well I did. I wouldn't dream of knocking anyone. For one thing, I'm certainly not qualified to do so. But honestly ... nowhere did I hear & feel such 'dynamic passion' as from Estas. He moves mountains.
