Personally I would not recommend it only because you have a lot of downforce from the wind pushing against it and it's a thin sheet of aluminum you're attaching to. What I did when I installed mine was put rubber grommets that fit the holes perfectly then threaded a larger nut and bolt into with washer on both sides the stop all the leaking
No vibration yet ,but when it dose start oooo boy .been there done that .
