Maybe if they didn't concoct all their narratives and schemes out of thin air, they would have some credibility with people, be they north american, Australian, or korean.
@Buf-g6m nothing happens without the blessing of the neocons. The last throws of a desperate admin to sow chaos before inauguration. Wesley Clarke's 7 or bust. It's a bust.
The Americans did the same thing in Australia in 1975 and the Australian people just stood by and watched the Military and the Australian deep state overthrew the Australian government.
What is the aim of this type of post? South Korea for the first time truly disobeyed their "master" and the takeaway is that u make this type of post for no reason meanwhile we have other eu and Australian who are more diehard vassals.
@edwardroh89 why not? Some of us dont know much about America or South Korean politics beyond the mainstream narratives. It's quite interesting to know about the nuanced news and takes.
@@marcomongke3116 We're not supposed to point out that SK is a puppet of the US, occupied by thousands of US troops, with its military subordinated to US command, and therefore, NOT a sovereign country.
I didn't expect KJ mentioning Indonesia. Sadly, it does true. There's many massacres in Indonesia, with the darkest and biggest one was back in Oct 1965-1966 where 500k - 1M Indonesian had been killed by US-Backed Soeharto forces (later government) alongside with the religious groups and ultranationalist. Most of them are sadly not Commies or even related with the party.
This interview is very refreshing. What Mr Noh said reminds me of what’s been said about Taiwan. After WWII, Taiwan went from a Japanese colony to a US colony. The corrupt Taiwan government has been propped up and marketed as a “model democracy” in the western media.
Wow....what a brilliant and most enlightening narratives by Mr. Noh. We ❤️ to hear a whole lot more from Mr. Noh, an intellectual of the highest calibre, in the future. Mr.Noh even knew the wholesale massacre of the civilians in Indonesia that took place during the Junta's regime, of course, backed by the US. ❤️From Indonesia.
Thank you. This interview revealed to me how ignorant I am about this strategically important region. It puts into context events in Eurasia, West Asia and Europe today.
Mind boggling! Hard to believe how close a shave that was and at stake was potentially a world war, since NK has a pact with Russia now. Thank you very much for this chilling interview which raises awareness of how close to the Armageddon we live today and how reckless this US administration is. 🙏

Unfortunately having a multipolar world isn’t in the interest of elites within Academia, business, and diplomacy. It’s still maybe perhaps ..... it’s my way or the highway. Question is how can the South Koreans get the US to understand they want a “Peace Treaty”, not a cease fire truce? Explain what can the South can do in order to get this in order.
KJ Noh made a few mistake about US never wanted peace with North Korea and that is not true. It is true that US divided the Korean Peninsula after the WWII; this decision was made in the bad faith and Korean received it. One of the big reasons for the poor decision on Korean Penninsula probably was because of Soviet. After the Korea War, North Korea walked out of the peace treaty with the USA because it said that North Korea was to accept the division of Korean Penninsula. Since North Korea said no, so then to this day USA is still responsible for its division and it has been the big problem for USA.
I feel this discussion is a bit misleading. I think this is a reaction to the North going over to Ukraine. The strings for martial law was a rehearsal..But thank you for the inside scoop.
I can't support or dispute much of what this guy said except when it comes to US deterrence against China. His narrative on that is profoundly wrong given the CCPs continuous plurality of border disputes. The US really did try to be peaceful with China and got massively entangled with it in terms of international trade. China, under Xi Jinping, has become an aggressive, coercive and abusive power that is a severe threat to all of it's neighbors. Look what China is doing to Taiwan, Japan and the Philippines. This guy paints it as if America is arbitrarily entangling South Korea in its aggression against China when China are the ones involved in over 20 ongoing border disputes. I can fully believe that the US is a bad ally to Korea (God knows it is to the UK and anywhere south of its border) but I have difficulty believing this guy is portraying much other than an ideological position that he happens to share
China has more land borders than any other country in the world except for Russia. So it's not surprising that it would have a "plurality of border disputes". Most of these disputes are a legacy of invasive and unclear claims created by Western colonial powers. But still, the record shows that China has resolved most of these disputes peacefully and amicably--often ceding territory--with most its neighbors: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Laos, Mongolia, North Korea, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia. The only ones that are remaining are the ones where the US has been weaponizing the dispute to escalate tensions against China--most notably India. As for the US "trying to be peaceful with China", again the facts refute the claim. The US been planning a doctrine war against China since 2009-2010.
It might be worth exploring some of the perspectives I pointed to in my recent substack piece jeffrich.substack.com/p/china-never-entered-the-thucydides?r=azb1g
@@kijinoh589 Right, so that explains China launching missiles off the coasts of Japan and Taiwan, taking over Hong Kong in violation of the treaty they signed with Britain, taking over Macau, committing genocide against the Uyghurs, invading the sea around Vietnam (famously a US ally ofc) and the Philippines, trying to buy up ports and infrastructure across Europe and Australia and debt-trapping developing countries across the world. All of that is perfectly innocent on the part of the Chinese Communist party and anything bad that did happen is Americas fault? I suppose it's also Americas fault that China has the most grossly authoritarian social system in human history, that they conduct forced organ harvesting on people imprisoned for political crimes and that Mao Zedong destroyed Chinese culture during the cultural revolution.
