If you're going to try this, the hard parts not shown here are (1) figuring out how to get the case apart without breaking something, and (2) unsoldering the part to replace it. It helps to have the part handy and some desoldering wick to help get the part out.
Hi mate. Really enjoy watching your videos. I have an acer v3-571g laptop. Half of the display is completely white (Bottom half). It seems that there are small black dots where the display cuts of and also there are black streaks sometimes in the white lesion of the screen. No trauma experienced by pc. Could you please help me . the computer is 3 years old and out of warranty.ThanksPraneet Ragoo

How did you open the chassis? I have the same monitor and i just can't get it open.
Nikos pro its a clip type.. U can open it by pressing on gaps between plastic panels

+Praneet Ragoo To me it sounds like a failed lcd panel. In the workshop I would connect a working lcd screen to test. Good luck!

Moral of the story? Don't buy Acer.
They all do it eventually. I've fixed the PS many monitors and TVs.
