I am a professor of medicine and find Aristotle's desire to learn about all aspects of the world (biology, moral philosophy, drama, etc.) truly compelling.
I visited and marvelled at all these places four years ago when doing research for my novel, the narrator of which is Herpyllis, a woman for whom Aristotle made generous provision in his will.
