What a pleasant surprise this morning before I go to work, thank you! I don't watch many movies so I always watch 1 on your list. Tonight it will be Living In The Material World. Enjoy your day!
Underrated channel. My favourites for 2011 are: The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel & Horrible Bosses. Interesting top 10 list as you didn't pick many of the popular choices: The help, The girl with the dragon tattoo, In time, Moneyball, The adjustment bureau, Crazy stupid love, The descendants, Red dog, The artist, Contagion. I'll have to check out your top 10 as only heard of a couple.

Here are some of my favorite films of 2011. Kung Fu Panda 2: An excellent sequel to one of my favorite DreamWorks movies. From Up on Poppy Hill: "We're not related, so it'll be okay!" Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2: A great finale to one of my favorite film series. Goes to show how good of a writer J.K. Rowling was, and by "was," I MEAN WAS. Rango: A bizzare but fascinating animated western. Weekend: A film about a homosexual hookup. One thing that I find fascinating about it is that it's so unapologetically gay that some people might say it's "rubbing it in your face," and yet, it does it without showing a single pride flag. Great stuff.
@One Too Many I highly recommend those two! From Up on Poppy Hill is the only great film that Goro Miyazaki directed, though he did have help from his father, Hayao Miyazaki. Schaffrillas Productions once made a point in his Studio Ghibli ranking video that Goro's story is a lot like the plot to Chicken Little. He makes a fool of himself, wins everybody over, and then makes an even bigger fool out of himself. I can't wait for the part where Goro and Hayou Miyazaki reconcile and save the world from aliens!
Great list. 2011 was a great year for depressing movies. My number 1 and 2 would also be downers, McQueen’s “Shame” and Ostlund’s “Play” “Margaret” didn’t work for me but I can’t remember which version I watched. I’m curious what you, as a British person, thought of that Meryl Streep propaganda bullshit Iron Lady?

@@calebrands4912 I'll definitely give them a look
Thanks and enjoy the silence 😅
"George Harrison had the best post Beatles career" Coŕrect. Thought Ezra Miller was excellent in Perks of Being A Wallflower

“Margaret” didn’t work for me but I can’t remember which version I watched.

I absolutely hated The Iron Lady... and I didn't think much of the film either!
@@1-2many Ha! Yeah I had a hard time stomaching it too.
Weakest year of the 2010s for film IMO
