Nice finds. I have a feeling that I followed in your footsteps 😆, we both went to titanite Hill and Grace Lake recently, I have a feeling that I may have done it the week after you.
This is an amazing spot Jeff , I have close friends that have the property located on the north east corner of county rd 4 and Cedar Lake Road just west of Wilberforce, I've been going up to Dan's cottages for the past 30 years and the year before last I rode my mountain bike from Pembroke back home to Hamilton. I'm heading out next weekend for a trip on my motorcycle to get away from the city and into the woods . Take care and I hope we get together sometime soon , tell Mick I say hello when you have the opportunity. ✌😁.
What would they possibly do with all that Tremolite? I’d rather have small, but gem. Gorgeous one you found, so long and love the nut size gem one too 👌
That’s private property it’s posted like crazy now. People didn’t realize they did all that mess to private property. The holes ended up like small mines. Lots of people getting tickets there to this day
Try to keep mineral collectors pieces intact you'd be surprised how much a natural cluster of something can be worth. You can look up how to clean minerals online easily. It's better to have the cluster than individual pieces.
Amazing finds Jeff. Do you think I could find a few pieces there clear enough to facet? Yup been there twice in bug season and got annhilated by skitters. Same for schickler. This is time of year for me to start visiting places 'in the bush'. Subscribed and looking forward to more content. How do you clean these? Vinegar? HCL? The calcite from there usually seems extra dirty lol.
@@OffTheBeatenPathCrystals I'd Love to, but I'm in the SW USA. So, it's highly unlikely. If you ever want to fill a box up, I'll pay for it and the shipping for it.
@christopherort3045, that site is now off limits and no trespassing red circles are painted on the trees there unfortunately starting in 2023 as I painfully found out last year, it was one of my favorites
Well, that was fun. A spot that always has something to give.
Looking to get back out there now that the bugs should be less aggressive.
I was just here this past weekend. What a great spot. Im going to head back next weekend myself.
I like that spot.I like your videos. At least you give the area.Thanks.

Thanks for the info. Glad you enjoyed the video.

Hopefully the bugs were not as bad as when I was there, vicious they were.
@@OffTheBeatenPathCrystals yeah same! Felt like there were enough flies that they could steal my car and fly away with it! 😆
Hey..I love that you have your own channel..I'm going towards Algonquin and hoping you'll have suggestions on campgrounds..with rocks..
Mindat is a good site to look at to search for locations, or just go check out road cuts wherever you are.
Nice video mate great crystals
Thanks. It's a great spot, especially after bug season.
Heading there tomorrow morning. Gonna spend the day there

Amazing
I agree, lots of nice stuff to be found there.

The purple is likely amethyst, Mindat lists it.
Next time I am back there I am going to have to check and see if that rock is still there.

I don't believe you will find anything to facet there. I usually use vinegar to dissolve stuff, but sometimes use stronger stuff ; )
I'd buy a box of the stuff that person discarded.
It's a nice spot, well worth a visit in person.
