aboudedoesvideogames I love this group as well. However the team I grew up with are still number one in my mind. Brandi Chastain, Carla Overbeck, Joy Fawcett and Kate Sobrero were just awesome as defenders. They, Overbeck, Fawcett and Chastain, won two world Cups in 1991 and 1999. Three of them scored three of the five penalty kicks for the US the 1999 World Cup as well. Not to mention both Overbeck and Fawcett are in the Soccer Hall of Fame with fellow team-mates Michelle Akers, Julie Foudy, Mia Hamm, and Kristine Lilly, who also won two World Cups. Not to mention Olympic Gold Medals in 1996 and 2004.

These back 4 and Hope represented an area that most opposing offensive efforts repeatedly went to their demise. They kept things together and are a big reason why the USWNT jersey now displays 3-stars over the U.S. crest instead of two.
One would be embarrassed at how many times I have watched this, but I am not!
Jill needs to bring this backline back asap we need these gals

@@Otis1194 first of all it wasnt there main players and they weren't playing at there best because they will pumping and testing the boys to give them confidence to win people who say this should shut up because they don't know the whole story

The Department of Defense. This is the best backline ever in the history of football both male and female. Now Jill Ellis messed it up, Kriegs is gone and now it's just back 1. Jill needs to bring back Krieger and than we can get back to perfection.
