Oil the cable and the grease the worm nr the gear change . Oil all the cables on this model . I ride one all year round and find it superb if everything is lubricated periodically.
the SV 650 was my first 2 cilinder bike ! i fitted it with a 2brother exaust and sounded super ! loved the bike until somebody parked his car head-on frontal in my bike and almost killed me ! a few years later i bought de Vstrom 650 ! same engine a great bike for young drivers
The stiff clutch is because of the clutch springs, need something to hold all that torque, you can get softer ones be then your risking clutch slip and frequent clutch replacements.
Ah fair enough its a buddys bike it was the lever where i could feel it it was very tight haha basically all or nothing with the clutch ill let him know though so he can get it sorted :D
+Kean Campling ah fair enough haha it wasnt bad after you got going just abit difficult at first of course being a very different bike and ride that im use to although admittedly i never had problems stalling any other bike ive been on just this one haha
+Inked Aggression was gonna say the same. the v twin will be more torquey. I also prefer torque to hp cos the response is instant whither gear your in. on the Cbr if you floor it in the wrong gear nothing much happens until higher in the rev range
@@inferior650riderhd6 those are not the dame class bikes 👌🏻 suzuki for cbrhave gsxr 600 😎👍🏻 sv650 is much weaker /much slower bike in regard to such supersport 600 bikes 👌🏻😎 cos of huge power deficite 70-75 vs 120-130 hp its not even close 👌🏻 hower lowend and midrange to like 7 k rpm sv 650 can haveeven lil better than some supersport 600 class bikes so in such cases yea whan ypu choice to high gear „nothing” happen on low rpm high gear low speed comapre to sv let say however use proper gear which be hold engine on proper rpm and sv is knockout like nobodis bisnes 🤭😎👍🏻 0-160 km/h 10-11 vs 6-7 sec top sped 200-210 vs 250-265 km/h 👌🏻
I like the ones like yours fully fared its just a debate really of what i want once im allowed to get a bigger bike im stuck between alot of different options where my next license is a restricted one

The other side of the scale with top speed vs acceleration are little bikes that accelerate quickly and make you feel like your going faster than you actually are, my 50cc Drakon accelerates really quickly and is really fun to throw around but when you look down you're only doing 55-60, the top speed of it is only 72, but it's still a fun bike which is why I've kept it.
Oh fair enough i feel the opposite with my bike i find the bigger bikes more fun because you always feel like your going so much quicker when im on my bike at 70/80 its really boring but at 70/80 on this or the cbr 600 it feels a hell of alot quicker

Good chassis These bike's are often raced in mini twins, so check for damages. Forks, engine and cases.

Oh the all or nothing is usually too much cable on the engine side.

Pretty sure the SV650 actually makes a little more torque than the CBR600RR.
Yea it felt extremely close torque wise hard to accurately compare where i tried them a few weeks apart but both bikes are absolutely brilliant
