Commuter = Base grade. Small chassis, short wheelbase, 15 seaters, either offered in 2.5 or 3.0, only available in 5spd manual.
GL Grandia = Mid grade. Big chassis, long wheelbase, has premium features not found in the Commuter like power windows and tachometer(RPM) 13 seaters but more spacious for comfort, only offered in 3.0 engine since 2016, either available in 5spd manual or 4spd automatic.
Super Grandia = High Grade. Same chassis as the GL Grandia however has even more features like touchscreen with navigation and backup camera instead of the standard FM radio, backup sensors, back TV, soft leather seats and more. It has now a sliding door on both sides. 11 seaters due to captain seats on the 2nd and 3rd row. 3.0 engine and only 4spd automatic.
Super Grandia LXV = Top of the line grade. Even longer wheelbase and high roof. Pure luxury van. Only 10 seats and each 8 passengers can enjoy the soft leather captain seats with lots of options. Carries even more tech and features.
In short
Commuter = Pure community service, can be family service, can be government service, only lack in comfort
GL Grandia = Balance between comfort and usage. Can be community service. Highly recommended for family service and government service.
Super Grandia = Luxurious type and highly recommended for rich families and for private organizations
Super Grandia LXV = Pure luxury and strongly recommended for private organizations.
I'm hoping that Toyota will upgrade it with 2GD-FTV(For Commuters) and 1GD-FTV(For GL Grandia, Super Grandia, and LXV) engines found in the latest Hilux and Fortuner and newly updated manual 5spd manual(160@3000rpm and still prefer 5spd over 6spd due to it's durability and easy maintenance) and 6spd automatic option.

Pinaka dbest sakin commuter pare pareho lng nmang 3.0 yan pero for me lng mas advantage ang manual commuter 3.0 lamang kna sa hatakan kaya makakahataw sa kht anong sasakyan experience ko yan kakabyahe nmin sa bcol from cubao to albay kinuha nmin ng 6 hrs dredretcho byahe madaling araw hataw yan 2 beses lng ng stop over sa quezon at gumaca plus 3hrs byahe albay to pier pilar w/ 2 driver my kapalitan ako kumpare ko.. nung bagong realease commuter nmin dun kme ng tune up .. sa mga commy na ng papa bcol dyn ingts lng lage wag bubuntot sa mga bus at malalaking truck safe drive guys mga byahero🙋♂️🙂

For rider who wants comfort choose SUPER GRANDIA . I have it and it is really comfortable to ride on but you should have driver so that feel na feel and super relax ka. The only problem the cost is really much higher to have all those comfort.

Adrian Magana America will never have them because they’re cheap. And Americans only have one in mind which is “mind your own business” so why bring so many chaperones when travelling where you can only go with your family? Filipinos are the total opposite, they/we always wanted to bring the whole family when going to somewhere else.
The Hiace commuter seats are small, and when people ride there, it feels uncomfortable. When I ride the commuter, my knees feel tired.
But the super grandia, it looks spacious and comfy compared to the commuter. It has automatic transmission and a captain seat.

if you want luxurios one or more spacious choose grandia...if you want to have transportation business or pampasahero choose commuter because it has many windows when your getting long distance trip ..many passengers feels dizzy and often times vomits..so it is accesible to open the side windows

Pero sana merong mabait na mag UV express na Super Grandia para madali bumaba at makaiwas inis sa mga pasaway na passenger na malapit pala uupo dun sa pinaka dulo nakaka asar mga ganun

We have a Super Grandia, and I think the super grandia is best for personal/private use because it's such a luxurious van. For the commuter, it's best for UV express vans and school van, for short. it's best for public use.

Commuter Sana kukunin namin pero my dad stuck with the NV350 but as time passed by narealize ko na mas maganda tlga ang commuter... Yes mas malakas makina ng NV pero the overall performance (suspension,transmission, ride comfort) commuter tlga panalo... Sorry NV350 lovers pero Nissan should consider upgrading the NV350's interior.. Plus the NV is noisy as hell... No offense ah

Commuter kasi mas marami ang upuan niyan di katulad ang gl malapad nga pero yung upuan pang captain seats yung pangisahan lang hehe.Kung gusto nyong pangmaramihan Commuter nalang po :) pero kung gusto niyo maganda Gl nalang. but for me the best is Grandia kasi para syang modelo at deluxe.
