I am looking at the Raden comp. It comes with 3 different barrels-Black, gold & silver threaded barrels & comps. They run about 450.00 including tax. I know it sounds expensive. The others are 250 & Zaffen 275.00. I am trying to see demo videos. The Raden I have seen. It comes off in 2 minutes. The guy doing the demo-avail on TH-cam claims it feels 50% better. It is a small comp. I would take a look at them. Great video. Thank you. God bless.
The "New Comp" for the Sig Sauer P365 & P365X , selling for about 400.00 available in Black anodized and Gold, I thought I saw in silver looked to be very simple. That is the one I am looking at. There are screws etc. They claim 35% less recoil. Some of the others I could live with out as they look bulky. Thank God I do not have to worry about a "Can" as I do not own or plan to own. To expensive, and I can only shoot in a range. If I lived in a house with plenty of acerage, that would be possibly different. Great video. Thank you-God bless.
Any brake which provides less resistance to the gas moving out the FRONT will both stagger the impulse of recoil(longer tube=longer period before gas exits) and lower the total amount of energy transferred BACK(that energy is displaced through the ports). It's attenuation of force on you but energy of course is not lost, just redirected - balanced recoil systems blow my mind, as an aside.
I run a Sig P365 XL frame with the P365 slide and the PMM micro comp. I agree, the shims are a pain in the a**! However, I did not want it permanent. So, I used blue thread lock instead if the red. I have been carrying comped pistols for quite a while. It’s hard to go back now.
So if you have a locked on comp like the the ones you said are not gonna come off without considerable effort. Does that mean it’s not super important to remove the barrel when cleaning? Am I missing something? I’m still pretty new to firearms
I also like the look of a compensator that gives me a complete look.. Any of those that you know of that will be good for an XDM Elite OSP Tactical? Thanks
Hey quick question. I'm new to comps as well as to p320s. Will the strike Industries comp for the smc work with a 3.9 threaded barrel and full size frame (the x5 for example) as I've seen that combo done with other comps? Thanks for your answer and vida. Very helpful
I think it’s the xl frame with the 355 barrel and slide, they often think they just know what they have infront of them and don’t explain anything lmao
@@alphamale4497 good guess but I found the part on their website. The factory grips do not protrude out of the sides, like we see in the video. The factory grips have Sig’s proprietary rail system which is recessed within the frame.
Anyone make a ported barrel for the P365 like the old Gl9ck Lone Wolf barrels? The comps are nice but I don't like the extra step when disassembling the barrel from slide and i think I would prefer the ported barrel being extended vs the short barrel / long slide of the spectre and macro.
Do the set screws on the Herrington comp come in contact with the threads, or further back on the side of the barrel? I have a True threaded barrel for a 365Xl Thank you
I put my comp on their using thread lock thinking I did not want to come off and then 3 days later my suppressor height sights showed up in the mail and it was then I realized I was going to have to take the whole thing off just to get that front sight on
Please help I’m doing a 365xl build I have everything already but I’m wanting to put a comp, when you say permanently on how would one clean the gun if that’s what they do don’t you need to take off the comp to take the barrel out
Question what size barrel are you using for that comp on your p320 ?....i like to do something similar to that setup ....i have wilson combat concealed carry module ...would that work on it

I have a better solution instead of lock tite. Just use a o-ring. I bought a O-ring kit from Harbor freight. Just slide the o-ring on your barrel all the way down. Tighten up your comp, Can or what have you hand tight and then go put some work in and try it out. You really dont even have to tighten it down that much. Youll thank me later. Ive never had any attachments walk off the threads using just a simple black o-ring. If you think about it, the science and engineering behind my idea, is sound. The rubber o-ring just limits vibration between 2 sperate parts. Iv had the same o-ring on mine and my wifes threaded barrels for 3 years. and we shoot 2k rounds a month between us. And Ive never had an issue.
@@blakethomas3758 Dorman Standard or Metric or ring kit-.5-8$ per kit. 144 pieces per kit. I bought both because i didnt know what size i would need. I suggest doing the same. Because they do come in handy for other things.
I was wondering the same thing about o rings i just bought a herrington arms hc320 comp and the first instruction is to take off any o rings but as the blue loctite didn't hold up at all I think I should try it
Even if you just shim the pmm comp will it still come off without adding red loctite? I build ARs and never apply loctite or rockset to barrel threads before installing a muzzle device. I've been looking for a barrel and comp but I would like to run my 365xl suppressed but until it's out of jail I'll need to play with the dpm recoil springs and make sure it will cycle. If not, I wouldn't mind using red loctite

That OD green is 🔥 🔥
Love that black and od green color scheme!
Don't know if anyone mentioned this but you can use blue lock tight instead of the red. It comes off easier and will keep it from walking on you.
I have never used red lock tight on any of my guns, I use blue and only blue, I use red for heavier duty work that really isn't dealing with guns 😂
I suggest using a rubber o-ring. Ive used one for 3 years. never had a problem. And just hand tighten. No need for tools or lock tite.
@@DisclosureTvNews what diameter rubber o-rings do you use?
One that fits.
I understand your question, however, you offer no specs to say anything.

We’ll always use blue lock tight and if your around heat . Especially a barrel use rocksett ! Its used on almost all AR’s.
Great video, super informative……and you solidified my P365 mod last weekend. P365 with the Macro upper. 👍🏻 Sub’d

question...are you using the oem recoil spring or something else like the DPM spring kit? Any issues with this set up?

You can clean it almost just as well with the barrel still in, little harder though.
Got a true bbl looking for a comp. Thx for the info.
I’m just starting to look at the 365 platform for EDC and this is helpful. I doubt I’ll run a can so the PMM micro looks to be the one.
How do you field strip and clean your pistol if you permanently fix the comp?
Take the recoil spring out, pull the barrel all the way forward in relation to the slide and do your best to swab behind and around it
I was wondering the same exact thing
There are also guide rod and rail mounted comps as well.
Im looking into Faxon Firearms barrel and comp, wondering if you have any thoughts on that setup?
How are you supposed to remove the barrel with a comp attached? Everytime you clean after you shoot you gotta remove the comp? That kinda sucks
Did you have to fit any of the barrels?
How do you clean your barrel and slide on the gun with the permanent mount?
I was wondering the same thing
