What is a scum sock? If you put a sock over it, you're reducing suction. Better to invest in a 2nd filter so you always have one ready to go while the other one is being cleaned, or better yet, invest in the fleece bags.
@@HomeSchool4You Depends what you're vacuuming. A scum sock is very thin like pantyhose and you slide it over the filter, they're used in pools. You don't need a second filter which is the point of a scum sock. Slide it off and pull another one on when needed.
Sure wish DeWalt would come out with a nice smaller unit like this, to pair with their cordless dust extractor. That thing fills up quick. Maybe I just get this and pair the 2
Yes, the power planes definitely get messy. I'm planning to review the new M18 5" orbital soon. It was very nice when I tried it at the Pipeline event.
@MarkThomasBuilder I have the m18 router as well as the m18 trimmer that would also really show the benefits of that separator. I would like to see some really big chips being ran thru it. Fantastic review!
Using the bag AND the debris separator is redundant. In fact, both the bag and the separator will reduce suction somewhat. It's best to use one or the other for best performance.
That's probably true. My thinking is that since the bag and filter is new, I'll probably not lose too much performance. Once the filter gets dirty, then the performance drops pretty quick.
How much time do you spend dealing with dust and clogged filters? Drop your dust collection struggles in the comments.
Just trying to find bags for the packout vac.
I like the idea of this. More compact than the bucket types. I have the packout vac and the fleece bag fils up really quick.
This will definitely help you go through way less fleece bags.
I really like how this works. Looks much better than the bucket method. I also like to stretch a scum sock over my vacuum filter.
Great tip, I'll have to try that!

Now let’s see if they can actually make a miter saw stand!
I would connect the m12 plane to it as this make a huge amount of shrapnel. The second tool would be my m18 5" orbital.

I wonder how this would work for cold fireplace ash in combination with my existing Ridgid vacuum & HEPA filters?
0:56 that didn’t come with mine.
I bought the fleece bags separately. I like them when with this setup.
@ I bought some but I have a hard time finding more, that’s why I bought this.

wait 4 months. They will have one with it integrated into the vacuum. typical Milwaukee
Hard to say, but the nice thing is you can can use this with any other vacuum and get a wheel kit for it too.
Hey 👋 Mark Thomas
Hey Jeremy! How's it going?
@ good 👍 when’s the livestream
I wish I could've gone live tonight. I see if next week works and let you know.
@@jeremynguyen2346 I'm going to try for 8pm on Thursday. Are you around?
For $100 I will just buy filters
Ear protection brother.
Yes, good observation. I normally have my airpod pros in with noise cancelling when running any vacuum.
