I had the same thought. Baneslayer is obviously a good player. But if I was in this pod I would not be able to handle myself as well as smalls did. Gas lighting was real this game
Thanks for sharing. I've recently picked up Sisay as my in paper deck. So seeing more people playing it always good. What did you grab with that D tutor ? Also you forgot that about dealing damage with LQR. Could have removed the kinnan.
Hey great choice picking up Sisay :) I tutored for Fierce to be safe vs RogSi or any removal/interaction to deal with my stuff. And yes I did forget to attack with Heliod to kill something, I realized after I passed turn lol
I've build Sisay too after watching baneslayer and cedh tv + Moscow cedh championship 23 was destroyed by Sisay player (i'm russian) and mu winrate goes up immediatly, before it I've played stax on thrasios/ishai
When you highly suspect an opponent is holding mana up to mess with your activation (in this case I was 99% sure Kinnan player had a Tishana after a comment they made, and after the wheel they revealed it), then its better to not activate and let them time walk themselves until they realize they have to start playing stuff and tapping out or they just lose too much board presence. I did this exact thing in The Pirate Chest tournament where a blue farm player was all game holding 3 mana up (opposition agent mana), so I outplayed him just passing turn after turn until I had enough for 2 or 3 activations and I could search for Ertai with Oppo on the stack.
ur right lol! I guess that turn was long and by the end of it I didnt even remember the initial land drop. I could have used that otawara later on to bounce my sisay or dockside before my turn
I played a very similar list in my last 2 tournaments and I won lotus with it. I did some changes tho but overall liked it. Right now Im probably going to try a different build with cards from the newer sets and to adapt to the meta
Smalls never had an opponent cast a wheel on his flipped heliod…
Gets his heliod taken.
Other opponent CAST WHEEL IMMEDIATELY
Killing it in the tournys. See you at the next one!
Hey thanks, see you there!
The fear-mongering is wild y’all better be careful rogsi is at 0 life

glad to hear that! I didnt know about the Moscow tournament, very cool@@konstantinmtg
Would u say it's a normal play pattern to hold up an activation like that to time walk the table?

@@Baneslayer88 I have something "reactive" clued you in on Tishana. Very clever.
Just a heads up, you played 2 lands the turn you transformed heliod. Polluted for sea then dropped the otawara at the end of your turn.

What do you think of unrivaled's list?

@@Baneslayer88 I run a list closer to It as well but haven't seen anything from the new set that jumps out at me.
