If it was there in a beta they’re obviously not ignoring INAV completely but there must be some issues to remove it from the final release- unfortunately- but I won’t be investing in DJI until it’s there
Of course it's a choice, it always is. But it doesn't invalidate what the video says. The best way to have a better OSD compatibility across systems is to make it easier or less costly to implement. Said otherwise, by creating some standard that everyone would use. Without knowing the technical details behind it, it seems to be a quite achievable objective that would benefit everyone
@ thanks for reply, mine should arrive today so I’ll swap it out on my plane and find out🤞🏻,I personally don’t have a lot of osd elements enabled anyway, and I’m keen to compare the rc link on 04 with g2 and remote 2
I'm waiting to receive my 04 so I haven't tested it but I did test the Avata 2 at night in the middle of the woods and the Avata 2 has the same camera And why I was flying I could see everything in the goggles I was flying up and down trails with not a single street light in sight and when I landed I couldn't even see my legs but when I was flying around I could see everything so it's definitely got way better low light than our 03 and our eyes lol Much better than 03 for sure this new sensor really made a huge difference.
Just flew O3 and O4 back to back last night. While O4 was not only flyable but even produces somewhat usable recording, O3 was really struggling with letting me know where I fly. O4 recording is live, and O3 is so bad I'm not sure it's worth making a side-by-side comparison.
I was flying the Nazgul DC5 eco yesterday with the O3 air unit and right after take off the video went black (goggles-3). I thought that issue was fixed? I was lucky the drone was still near so I quickly switched to Angle mode and landed it in Line of Sight. First time that happened to me since I got the Nazgul late last year.
thanks for valuable informations, i wanna build my first fpv drone with o4 pro unit, which goggles should i buy 3 or n3 and whats the benefit using elsr controller? also i want speed and acros and also long battery life. 🙏🏻
Thanks for this Ian, Looking at your tear down was super helpful in thinking of ways to weather proof the o4 Pro...
iNav OSD - so if Caddix can do it, it's not really about the non-existent standard, it's a CHOICE on the part of DJI to ignore iNav pilots.
PS - love your channel, Ian!

Thanks Ian, as entertaining as always and clearing things up, best regards
Does osd on 04 not work at all with inav or is it like 03 where some characters do but not all?
Same as O3 for now.

OSD: it‘s not difficult, there just needs to be the font files 🤬

I can confirm that 04 with g2 and remote 2 with inav works exactly the same as 03 with the same setup on inav 7
I like the part from 46:35, you are absolutly right.
I do not understand why they’ve not implemented iNav OSD. It’s just a set of fonts. How hard is that to implement? How much work is that really?
1:13:20... If it is Plug and Play and inexpensive I'm on board with the new Caddx VTX system. Much more than the Scrounge for parts OpenIPC crap.
No 4.3 4k/2.7k 120fps .
i sayz to myself your not a weirdo and i believe it
