Americans claimed the Chinese swimmer Li Shiwen "unnaturally" fast as she took the world record and beat her personal best by 6 secs. An American swimmer Ledecki has improved by 20 secs over the past year and they happily accept that.
I remember when watching someone break 10 was amazing 9.97 or 9.93. Records are made to be broken and this one will fall one day. Just to see how easy Bolt was running back in those days tells you that it is humanly possible to go faster. Love the sport.

He spent his career trying to push the limits of this race and along comes Bolt and shatters what anyone, anywhere, at any point in time thought possible. I remember when watching someone break 10 was amazing 9.97 or 9.93. Records are made to be broken and this one will fall one day. Just to see how easy Bolt was running back in those days tells you that it is humanly possible to go faster. Love the sport.

IAM just grateful that Michael choice was to work for the athletics coverage for the UK i didn't realise how long he has done it for. 15 + years now.
He spent his career trying to push the limits of this race and along comes Bolt and shatters what anyone, anywhere, at any point in time thought possible.
Everyone is impressed but I think it's clear that real sprinters have a much more in-depth knowledge of how truly extraodinary it is. The man literally made history and broke the limits of what a human was capable of. It's no small thing.
