He put out a tweet that wasn’t 100% factual. He couldn’t perform his set due to technical difficulties and she wouldn’t share her set time with him. He left off the “technical difficulties” from his tweet. So he incited the backlash with his tweets.
It didn’t work out. Move on amicably. Anita doesn’t need Babyface and he doesn’t need her. I went to see Anita a few years ago at Staples and the place was full. They both have a following. Both should just gravitate toward that!!!

This is ridiculous. Anita and Babyface were on a whole tour together, so you can’t tell me she didn’t have his number or her people couldn’t get in contact with his people. If she wanted him to make a statement, she could have discussed it with him offline and maybe he would have been willing to back her publicly, especially since all of this started due to technical difficulties with the show in Jersey. But since she told him to call off his fans publicly, I don’t blame him for not doing it. Despite his name, Babyface is grown man and Anita ain’t his mama.
It’s never Anita Baker’s fault tho. As much as I love her music, the messenger is and have always been trifling.

Anita Baker ain't ish! She has been faking people out for several years period I tried to see her twice I saw her the first time many years ago probably 20-plus years ago but she was an hour late and never apologized in Chicago at the regal theater. The performance wasn't worth anything and I would've done better off listening to her CD or whatever it was at the time because that's my girl when it comes to how she sings.
Another time I tried to see her was was for my 50th birthday somewhere in the suburbs of Chicago. She canceled on a Thursday stating she was sick with a cold. Huh? but the performance should have been on a Saturday? How do you know that you're gonna be sick on that day? No COVID, pandemic etc. She's not worth taking a chance on again in my life.
She's one of those who will love her music but her character stinks period! Babe Face Edmonds is better off without her. Additionally, she's not a good performer. She can't do anything with them broken arms flying around in the air😂😅 she does not give a good performance we really love her voice.
Babyface needs his own tour. He doesn't need to be Anita's support or whatever. It should have been a joint tour equal power from the jump. Babyface did not need to address his fans. Anita insisting on him doing that was against his will.

I love her and am a massive fan but she has never released her last studio album 21st Century Love and retired a few years ago. I think she will be doing farewell tours for the next 20 years as she wants the coin
This is not about who sells out arenas or performs better. Even if Babyface spoke up to his fans you can't control what is said on social media. Not his responsibility. This is sad because they are both excellent artists.

First of all, Anita was wrong to not allow Babyface to perform that evening. She could have shortened her set to accommodate Babyface. That way hers and Babyface’ fans would have both been happy. I heard she doesn’t even give good performances, her shows are lackluster now, so why not cut her set short to accommodate Babyface? I think she made the wrong decision & that’s what started this entire mess. She also pulled diva antics way back when she toured with Luther Vandross. She has a reputation for being difficult. I think it’ll be hilarious if half the people request refunds and this little stunt ends up costing her a lot more than she thinks it will. Being her age & difficult isn’t cute. She needs some humility.

Yes she is the headliner. And when I have people over in MY HOME Its MY HOUSE but I’m still gracious to my guests. Those people who bought tickets many of them purchased tickets for Babyface, or came to see both not only Anita. Even if she would have given the man 15 minutes. In my opinion when it comes to professionalism you may be the boss, but you compromise for the good of the team. Anita wasn’t thinking about Babyface or his fans or both of their fans, she was only thinking about herself. Selfish move and that’s my opinion. This is what happens when egos take over when cooler heads could have prevailed and this didn’t have to escalate to this point.

This all started due to the place running behind which was no fault of Anita's. Then when the fans started blaming her she became defensive and explain to his fans that she wasn't at fault for not doing his set. Celebrities have got to learn not to let these folks on social media start arguements between the two.

I was thinking Anita Baker was being a diva but there were more details discovered after the Twitter beef. Babyface's team had technical difficulties prior to Anita Baker's set. Baker also paid for Babyface's equipment and technical folks. Anita still had at least an hour set of songs to perform whether he had technical issues or not. Its all on her twitter timeline.

I disagree with Al, initially Anita Baker probably didn't handle the situation the best, but she said she was getting threats and as a man Babyface could have come out and said something to his fans if nothing less than please stop with the treats regardless of their business disagreement. Black women are the last to be protected, and now he wants to come out and make a statement, lol. Yes, it's definitely more to this story, and I'm looking at Babyface. I like both of them, and Anita does have a reputation or an alleged reputation of not getting along with people, but we shouldn't be quick to judge or discount what she has said about the contract and her being the headliner and why he didn't perform, which started this issue.
It's not Babyface's responsibility to tame internet trolls. He did right by completely ignoring them which is what most real stars would do. Al if Anita was able to bump Baby face set, and kick him off the tour “they weren’t co-headliners like your trying to say ” it was her tour he was the special guest, and it sounded like egos/ego got in the way…Claudie’s my girl, but she’s biased on this, her opinion is clouded.

This video is absolute bullshit. The story is very simple. Babyface sent out a tweet that implied it was Anita’s fault he didn’t get to perform. This was not the case. There were major technical issues and they were running very late and as it was her tour, it was decided ( the SUPPORT ACT) as per the contract, would not perform. As much as people say Babyface is worth more and is a bigger star. He cannot sell out Arenas like Anita Baker. The REALITY is she is the bigger singer/performer.
