This is just a quick put together video of the initial camper frame build. Just to get it out there. Nothing fancy. I will get more in depth as the process gets further in. I will also talk about some of the products that I will be using for this build. If there is anything you want to see or know more about then please leave a comment below. I will try my best to keep all my videos under 5 min. And I will include all products used

There will always be negative comments. And I welcome them. Cause sometimes they can point something out that I can change (On the camper, not myself). I would never let the negative effect all the positive in my life. Otherwise I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing. Thank you for the positive vibes.
Ill join the chorus, Jason mentioned you while I was wathing his coffee with the Crockers channel. He mentioned something about some "experts" trying to sound off and look like something. Bunch of nothings that aint got the guts to get out there and try a little something different for themselves so they gotta try and disrespect someone who is and does. So Imma give ya a like on your vids and hit that sub button. Wont promise how much Ill get to watch but there will be that much. Well, Ill be here to slam on the haters for ya from time to time. As a viewer I dont have to be quite so nice about it. See, them "experts" apparently dont realize that everyone has to start and learn somewhere and the real professionals will tell ya that and they will also tell ya that they still make mistakes cause, aint nobody perfect. Shows me that these "experts" here trying to hate on ya arent professionals yet cause they havent learned that lesson apparently. If they even know the first thing about any of it. So you rock on with what ya do. Cause I doubt I will be the only Crocker fan that'll have your back. As I said, I see a chorus here, Crocker fans are good folks and we all despise haters.

Its only been a few hours since the Crocker fans have started pouring in. And I mean that literally. I still have a hard time believing how many people have stopped by today. So a big thank you to not only the Crocker's but to all of you. While I don't have a lot of haters here. There are obviously some. And the longer I am on here the more I will encounter. But they are what they are. And I have no plans to change them. I am here to share what I am doing because my family and friends live at the other end of the country and this was to me the easiest method to share my projects. While I see that it is growing into something much more. As I love seeing how many people share how they want to do the same thing. And that's what I get out of this. I expected nothing. But love the fact that others will follow their dreams after seeing simple little videos like myself. So for that. I think you so much for your support and your kind words.
@@RecceCampers that's how Jason started his channel. Just a way of staying in touch with his family so they could all keep current with each other. Now, however....lol! It's a big thing. May you achieve your dreams, those of us who love Jason may very well grow to love you, too. Being real kinda does that for a person. As I said, the Crocker's fans are good , down to earth folks what love to see a person go for their dreams. And will encourage you to do so every step of the way. Haha. Just make sure your sitting down. Most of my videos are time lapse style. As much as I don't like doing cheesy videos. I preferred it to making long boring videos. My next build project will be different and hopefully doesn't scare anyone away.
I heard about your channel from the Crocker’s. Just do your thing. There will always be haters and people who know better. But they sit behind their screens and your outside trying to build a camper. How great is that!!!

This is a great video about how to get started with your build,very good.Trim the wood down to about 1/2x 1or2" and 2"x2" for structure,add a plywood or outer skin of your choise and you really have something,,,you designed and built.

Awesome ! I’m planning on doing something similar ! I’m going to use 2x8x10 for bed area though and 2x4 for the roof , that’ll give me enough clearance to have a 6 inch memory foam mattress in there

Very nice job on this camper bro you did a really nice job I got a question for you that ladder that hooks to your tailgate I know this is a couple years old but could you tell me where you got that at or a model number or something I like to get one for my truck keep up to go work I appreciate you thank you
Great idea! But I'm going to raise the lid on what I currently have. I.e., a plastic/fiberglass canopy. I can weld, so the support will probably be metal. Very simple, very strong. Will then insulate. I think that'll work? Of course, I ain't always right. Dang!
You and me both. But we don't know unless we give it a shot. I want to make one with an aluminum frame. try and make it stronger and lighter. If you make it, be sure to send me a link or pic.

I was too. I honestly still am. But it's going together really well. My only regret is doing it outside. I've had to take the walls off and wait till next week for when it gets its waterproofing layer.
Hey what was the tape or sticky sealer you used? Was it just basic foam tape for adhesive or was it a sealer type deal for the crack there. Wondering what the purpose and or use was because i don’t wanna miss it while building or i catch it before i go to deep
It was a foam insulation tape. I used it so it wouldn't wreck my truck when placing it on and off. And to give it a good seal.
how much weight do you think this would hold on the top without the framed wedge-style tent frame on top, I already have a roof top tent to mount on top, Thanks!
Would you be able to add another layer a few inches tall on top so an adult could also stand up inside? you could make part of it a sleeping loft, maybe install a sunroof? if you want to get real fancy. I love this design. Thinking about doing this to my 94 Ranger using 2x2s.
