I like the case but your soldering and insulation leave much to be desired. Masking tape is not enough for insulation. heat shrink at least. You really shouldn't solder onto Lithium batteries either.

Para una persona qué no tiene conocimientos de electrónica, está excelente y saca de apuro , para andar trayendo un power Bank de emergencia , fuera de la Ciudad o cuando se va la energía eléctrica. Agregar una placa solar ya es otro cuento y ocupa más espacio , es otro proyecto.
Éstas placas electrónica, que él instaló, ya vienen con Bms de protección y aumentan de 3.7 Volt a 5 volt la salida de carga .
A los que critican la fabricación, es obvio que para no hacer el vídeo demasiado largo , indica solo los pasos a seguir y no hay que ser demasiado inteligente para entender . Hay que lijar con lija gruesa y fina , se debe dibujar con la misma placa electrónica, tomar medidas etc , eso queda con la habilidad de cada persona .
Luego están los errores y el más significativo es soldar con estaño ( eso acorta la batería de litio ) Se debe soldar con soldadura de punto , por supuesto qué el proyecto sale más caro .
Aquellos que dicen que dura muy poco , yo tengo uno hace 3 años, con otra forma con otros elementos reciclados , incluso las pilas 18650 las he reciclado y el costo es muy barato del proyecto . El soldador por punto , también lo fabriqué con materiales reciclados .

PD ojo , qué cuando se instalen las 3 pilas , todas deben estar probadas y tener el mismo nivel de carga o parecido . No va a funcionar con una pila o batería mala o descompuesta .

The funny thing is I can actually buy a battery bank cheaper, then cells for the same capacity. Also you do not want to solder on the batterys, at this much heat will damage the cells. A point welder is usually used to avoid this, but thats extra cost on the tooling.
While true, often many pre-made powerbanks are made with questionable specs; where powerbanks are sold with higher reported capacities that are indeed more fantasy than fact. The same is also true of the regular battery market. A 10,000 mAH battery sold that is more like 1200 mAH instead. So much that comes out of China is bogus that it's not really funny.
Personally I don't know why the guy in the video even bothered with nickel strips.
as mad said, problem is you can buy a cheap 10 AH power bank, but at 2 months of use it will probably be dead or giving just one or half of a charge to your phone.
@@jesuslara6533 Hi, yes the generic ones tend not to last at all compared to some brand names out there.
So, would it be better to use some name brand rechargeable batteries rather than generics like in the vid? I find the hardest part about making this power bank is also fitting a charge indicator and maybe a small solar panel along with the existing circuit board with the ports on it.

I realise this is coming up to a year old and prices have changed but AUD$20 per battery = AUD$60 plus AUD$12 for the circuit board makes AUD$72 for a home made powerbank that may now have damaged cells due to the soldering heat (it's why they are usually spot welded) and I can buy a genuine 10,000mAh poly-lithium battery for AUD$15 or if I buy it in country for AUD$28. I think I know what option I would choose and not blow myself up coz I'm shit at soldering and I don't have a big soldering iron like that so my electronics one would need more contact time to make the solder work so could result in a 💥. Don't believe me, look for them on TH-cam as there are plenty of lithium-ion battery 💥💥💥💥💥.

Direct soldering on 18650 surface will cause battery damaged inside due to high temperature.
Легкоплавкий припой и кратковременная пайка сильно не навредит. А вот отсутствие балансировки в группе ячеек - это серьезный недостаток
