    3:05... trying to get the shot and still do work 🤣 commitment. Gotta love when the die grinder tries to start doing laps around the inside of a hole.

      @JetSkiBrothers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah so it was actually an end mill in that thing and what happened was of course it got spinning around in there but it snapped off. After that I was like yeah I’ll just set up the shot better and use two hands to hold that tool ha ha ha ha

      @@JetSkiBrothers OH NO, haha... Why are you using an end mill ! Get a set of burrs from Amazon .... You can still do that fun loopy thing with a proper burr... but they work better. That type of die grinder is really good at running away like that... I used to do all my porting with a GIANT Hitachi 500W things... You need two hands.

      Thanks so much! I try to let the kids be in the video if they want to and if I can do it in a way that makes sense, but I always gotta be careful not to overdo it. being a super proud parent it’s easy to get carried away. 👍🍻

    Video editing A1, great workshop, awesome thinking outside the box to modify parts to suit your needs and you have really improved on your welds. Damn, I wish I could be there to help but being in Australia is a limitation. Great dad to have the kids involved, I do the same here. Looking forward to seeing the next video.

      Thanks, I like to let the kids be around this stuff as much as they want to. But when it comes time for cutting and welding then I have them go hang out with mom. As they get older though we’ll let them try more stuff. 👍 it’s great that Milo loves this stuff so much. Any way sounds like you are the kind of people that we would want to be friends with, if only you lived a little closer. 🍻

    can't wait to hear that turbski spool up, ultimately I think the final form of this project will be a custom aluminum hull to fit the twin turbo setup and a impeller setup for more power

    • @JetSkiBrothers
      @JetSkiBrothers  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s going to be awesome when we get out on the water with it. It’ll be interesting to see how this turns out in its final form and I think that your guess could potentially be correct. Time will tell though 👍

    Just FYI you can go pretty small on the tubing to the turbo manifold. I ran a 370 motor and 2" 16g piping from each manifold to the turbo flange. It free's up a ton of room... was still making over 900hp at the wheels as well on a drag car. Small diameter pipe also speeds up spool time. (easier to wrap as well)

  • @JoelArseneaultYouTube
    @JoelArseneaultYouTube ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Great video. It sucks when you get stuck because of some unexpected issue. It seems that you can always depend on at least one or two of these hang up for every project.
    Great work on the editing, it was amusing.

      Thanks, I tried to edit this one with limited amounts of music. just to see how it went and see if I could accomplish just as good of a video with minimal music. Ha ha long story short I tried to not use any shortcuts of using Music and put more effort into editing it so it would be interesting. I’ve been working really hard to get ahead because I knew there would be some thing that would happen that would put us behind. So watch only I got slightly ahead of schedule so it’s OK that put us behind schedule so now we’re right on schedule and if anything else weird happens we don’t really have time for that😂

      @@JetSkiBrothers Haha... yeah... I was ahead of schedule Sunday, so I decided, instead of assembling the 1100 and installing the Zeeltronics right away, I'd do some powder coating.... Three hours later I had galled one intake stud and snappe other clean of... So now I have to deal with that before it can be reassembled. 🤣

    This manifold mod is certainly unique. I hope you get what you’re after!

    • @JetSkiBrothers
      @JetSkiBrothers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah so basically with this we’re trying to get water cooling on the manifold so that the ski doesn’t burn down and other than that we’re just trying to get the exhaust to the turbo. But I agree I hope it works out we’ll find out when it comes time for testing 👍

    • @zxggwrt
      @zxggwrt ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JetSkiBrothers Of course a water cooled manifold is basically required in a bilge area. One thing to look out for with this is that the inside manifold is cast iron and the outside is thin stainless. This is tricky. One thing you might consider is going ahead and pushing sea water with exhaust through the hot side of the turbo. This is not unheard of in marine applications and can keep things compact and reduce plumbing.

    So, idk anything about jet ski manifolds, why do they need to be water proof under pressure? Isn’t the exhaust separate from the cooling system, opposite of a boat engine/lower unit setup?

      For sure it takes more time then expected. At 20psi of boost this should be over 1000hp theoretically of course. I won’t claim any numbers without a dyno sheet to back it up 🍻
