My name is Jess! I had a daughter (Lilia) at age 18 w/ my high school sweetheart. We mutually split up & co-parent to this day. I met someone new, got married, had twin boys (Kyson & Kaden) and another son (Landen). He cheated, we split ways, & he’s not around much. After juggling life as a single mom of 4 for some time, I met Chris, he had 2 sons: Caden and Tommy, who eventually became my step sons. After Chris and I got married, we had our 7th child together, Addelyn. @@sngray11 I wish this was true. My cat has 3 bells and almost daily she brings back a dead bird, mouse or even bat! 🤣 She has learnt how she can make them make next to no noise when she runs/hunts 🤦🏼♀️

Funny you call them eye boogers in California, I thought that was a southern thing. I love your morning routine, it’s amazing how organized you are even when you say you’re not. It’s nice you and Lilia can have some one on one time in the mornings. She will remember this and cherish this time.

You could easily cat proof your back yard. You have high enough fencing, you'd just need brackets with cat mesh angled inwards and your cats wouldn't be able to jump it. Or you can get rolling pipes which attach to the top of your fences so they can't get a grip on it. Would keep not only the birds safe but the cats too as I think I remember you mention coyotes in one of your earlier vlogs when you first moved there?
At first, I thought the knocking of the ice maker was Chris doing something outside 😂

Jess, I have to have a charger with me for my Chromebook and it always dies!! I would highly recommend getting a portable charger and a USB-C cable. Or whatever kind on changing port Lilia. It truly helps even if it doesn’t die often. I would recommend having it because there is always that one day.

You should get Lilia like a rolling backpack because I have a lot of books to bring to school and a rolling backpack is so helpful it’s kind of like a suitcase

I remember "heavy backpacks". When my daughter was about Lilia's age she fell down on Main Street mind you, and couldn't get up. She was sprawled on her back flailing her legs and arms like a upside down turtle. We still laugh about it.

You are way more organized and awake in the mornings than I am. My 4th grader has to be ready for the bus by 6:45. I pack lunch at night. She gets up by her alarm at 6:15, comes and gets me out of bed if I'm not already up at 6:25. I'm dying in the mornings. After she's on the bus I'll either go back to sleep or just hang out in the quiet until my 3 year old gets up.

All cats are hunters🤠❤️. When I lived in Illinois my cat brought baby rabbits.
So you guys are probably not going to read this but, What you can do is get a piece of toast warm it up then put Nutella and strawberries then a little pump of vanilla icing, then roll it up and cut it into like sushi rolls. You can also put a little bit of brown sugar or regular sugar. 🍪🍫

I love the yum box idea! I have liked that since I saw you use them in past vlogs. I need to get some for sure! It is interesting how Lilli starts later than the younger kids. Here on the Eastern shore of Md it is opposite. The older ones start at 815 and the younger ones start at 915.

loved seeing the lunch process (since i never know what to pack and end up taking a half-made sandwich i make last minute lol), also the omiebox lunchboxes come with a built in thermos that can be taken out, but it keeps pasta and chicken nuggies and just any food hot, so i recommend ♡🥰🥰

Not judging because I know it varies from one country to another but it always shocks me to see how Americans eat. 😭 in Canada those would be considered snacks not lunches (except the ones with pasta and chicken even if the portions are tiny) I would have been so thrilled as a child to get a nutella sandwich for lunch!
Right?! When I was the twins' age (and I was a tiny girl), I had two or three whole wheat sandwiches (with crust) for lunch and only one could be sweet (like Nutella or whatever). And maybe some fruit, but never candy or snacks. Now, sandwiches are the standard lunch in the Netherlands, but I'd expect something like a wrap, or rice, or pasta, or something that makes an actual meal...

Ooooo hack for the chickie nugs!!!! Get a thermos (like for soup ) had hot water to the inside, let it sit. Then dump it out and add the cooked chickie nugs and they stay hot all day ! I would do this with hot dog, Mac and cheese, pasta and all hot things!
I think that’s the ice getting stuck! My boyfriends fridge does that as well! Bang it it will stop! Lol

The whole bird thing is really sad because cats have been having a really bad impact on the wild songbirds. And then there is the bird flu going on too so they are getting hard. I personally have two cats and keep them inside unless I have them on leash and my husband and I are going to build a catio for them as well.
It's really the massive feral cat problem we have in this country. So many people don't realize how badly those cats effect our ecosystems.
