Maybe, at least if you are listening with your eyes. I believe they are using purely amp modellers now (Dave Axe FX2 and Kiko Neural DSP). And that has a much bigger impact than the guitar(s). Although, here (Trust) Kiko sounds muddier than usually which could be explained by the LP.

This album stands out from Megadeth general style , that's the reason i guess. But album is great anyway. I would say Risk album is more untypical for Megadeth, kind'a experemental album
It's in my top 5 Megadeth albums. Not sure on the order but I do it based on which albums I've listened to the most over the last 20 years. Peace Sells. Rust in Peace. Cryptic Writings. So Far, So Good, So What and The System Has Failed.
Kiko is the best guitar player they've had at playing the other guitarists solos. He matches the different vibes and styles very well and is very respect to the original pieces.
'Best' is very subjective. I imagine Chris Broderick was the 'best' guitarist, but I like Kiko a lot more. Sometimes it just needs to be the right person.

Anyway, I’m glad Megadeth got to have lots of great lead guitarists over the years; Poland, Friedman, Broderick, Kiko, we have gotten tons of great solos and styles

Kiko is humble enough to have Marty play on one of his tunes off his solo album, how cool is that !! This new line up is killer, the addition of Kiko was the best thing that could of happened to the band. Dave knows how to pick lead guitar players and I gotta say Kiko is a breath of fresh air and he nails every solo to the T. Cant wait for the next album and for Kramer to release the new Mustaine signature model. Im thinking I will buy one of Kikos signature model guitars as well seeing Megadeth is unrivaled in their kind of music !!

It's a shame that Megadeth had to sell out basically after Rust in Peace. But given that the good, some of their albums are still quite good. Especially compared to Metallica
James is a bad ass bassist i don't understand why he was fired to refind david ...himself fired and James accepted to come back ...i like Megadeth but the band suffers of changing line-ups...i saw the in '95 with their most and best line-up
Gibson guitars tone is not what what Megadeth normally sounds like... It's more like Jackson much more brighter and distorted/gainier. The tone sounds a bit off to my ears. Great seeing Dave back on his feet and having fun with his fans.
It's the "Destroy My Legacy, Still Need the Money" tour. Dave should retire his voice and bring in a singer the way Queen did. Cristina from Lacuna Coil would be great for example.

Kinda is more badass knowing Dave still experiencing severe fatigue,.yet slays the whole performance
Chemo and radiation fatigue are no joke I am 3 years removed from my last treatments and I am still not the same energy wise
