- Happy 90th Birthday Kaye Ballard! This never-before-seen footage is from a one-night-only performance in Santa Fe, New Mexico of a show called "From Broadway, With Love," directed by Richard-Jay Alexander. Filmed by Rick (Broadway: The Golden Age Film Trilogy) McKay and Eddie Carson, this was a benefit for a local animal charity and was made entirely possible by Margeurite Gordon, a local animal activist, philanthropist and one of the most generous people ever. Watch till the end to see a few moments with Kaye's costars of the evening, Donna McKechnie and Liliane Montevecchi. And who can spot a 1960s icon in the audience, who appears virtually unchanged after over 40 years? And don't apologize if you don't get it - love means never having to say you're sorry ;-).

It's petty and pathetic that Ballard felt she had to take a dig at Liza Minnelli for singing "her" song and making it a hit-and cattily pretending she couldn't remember Minnelli's name. Sinatra did the same thing with "New York, New York", which Kander and Ebb wrote for Minnelli, but she never complained. Generosity is always more attractive than envy.
