I'm genuinely curious, for what reasons do people actually target carp as a species they actually want to catch? I really want to know. They aren't great to eat, without more preparation than I care to go through. And even then, it isn't great. So I've always wondered why stab something in the mouth, then wrestle it to shore, if you're not even going to eat it? It seems unnecessarily cruel. Please explain, I'm genuinely curious. Perhaps there's something I don't know about carp?
It’s a pastime that’s been going for many many years. They are caught and eaten in many countries around the world and nice if prepared correctly but if you’re not up for doing that, that’s up to you buddy. We even catch and release trout in the UK and many parts of Europe. If you haven’t caught a carp yet, try it and then let me know what you think. Best of luck buddy 😊
@@JoeTurnbullAngler so you don't eat em? I was just curious. Wasn't trying to be an asshole. I just don't best around the bush so it might seem that what I said was harsh. But it was a genuine curiosity of mine. I see a lot of carp fisherman TH-cam, and just wanted to know why they like to target them
@@redeyestones3738 Sure man that’s ok. I totally understand your questioning but it is what it is I guess. We look after the carp we catch especially the big specimens as they are old and we have a real love for them. It may sound crazy but there are crazier pastimes! Lol.
@@redeyestones3738 but no in the UK we don’t eat Carp. Only some Europeans that moved here like polish eat them and some supermarkets here sell carp to eat but it’s a dedicated supply.
Great demonstration Joe easy to follow and not loads of components. Thank you 👍🏼
