The AFB body does not get plated it is Aluminum. The plating would not build in holes anyway.

@@backnine thanks for info. is there a way to replace oem sealer put on carb bodies at plant to help with float bowl empty restarts??

Not understanding your question. Fuel will evaporate out of the bowls through the vents. Time to evaporate differs per the climate. Here in AZ summer time maybe 1-1/2 Days. Up north in the winter 1-1/2 weeks.
