Regarding losing weight to change the metabolic environment of the body-
Over 4 months I have lost 23 pounds.
I cut out sugar, and reduced carbs. Cut out most processed foods. Now I'm eating avocados, cruciferous veggies, fruits, salads and salmon, etc. And started walking about 1.5 ~ 2 miles a day. I never vomit, and didn't develop an aversion to food. Am not dizzy at all. At 63, I thought I could never lose weight, too lazy, no willpower, etc. But after getting off sugar, that was the key. My willpower increased. Now instead of my greedy gut ruling me and dictating that I eat junk food and candy, I can control my eating habits.
    Get off the glycemic rollercoaster!

5 years ago, my PSA spiked to 8.0 (I am on TRT). I was seeing a local urologist, and he wanted to do a needle biopsy. I walked out. Later, I had an MRI that showed BPH. Most men have gotten this message.

Thank you for teaching the science behind cancer in relation to prostate cancer. Every year there is “Mowvember” a fundraiser and educational month on prostate cancer and though people support and talk about detecting cancer, no one asks why cancer would occur or if there is anything a person can do to prevent it. The info presented for “Movember” is minus basic science. People think prostate enlargement and cancer is a normal part of aging. This can help people to not only limit fear but to have enough basic info to make informed decisions.

In 2011 when I was 59 my psa was 4. It was suggested I have a biopsy but I went with my gut and decided not to. At my next test a couple years later it was 7.1 but still having no detectable symptoms I still did not get a biopsy. In 2016 my psa jumped to 21.2 and still with no symptoms did not get a biopsy. In 2021 it jumped to 28.4 and still no symptoms and no biopsy. In 2023 it dropped to 26.7 and still no symptoms that’s affecting my quality of life and definitely no biopsy. I’m now 71 with no detectable symptoms that’s affecting my quality of life and highly unlikely to get a biopsy regardless of whatever the psa result says. I have to think at this point that had I gone for a biopsy originally I most certainly would have had multiple biopsies given that my psa kept increasing over the years. I’m left to wonder how might this have affected my quality of life. I may yet get prostate cancer or may already have it but I’m fine with in either case as long as my quality of life is unaffected.

I am 73 years old and I first saw a urologist who did the examination of the prostate and told me he wanted a PSA. But I had a radiologist do an ultrasound of the abdominal cavity because I was needing to push on my bladder to get pee to come out due to a urinary tract infection my G.P. determined I had.
The radiologist determined there was a kidney stone up in the left area of my left kidney but that it was not obstructing anything and some normal cysts in the liver. All the other organs were normal. My G.P. had given me antibiotics to clear up the urinary tract infection (Amoxicillin that did not work so he then gave me a 72 hour booster antibiotic that didn't work and then he gave me one that did work) to relax the prostate muscles. That made sense (because the prostate was a grade 4 from the radiology report) while I wait for his urologist to come back from vacation for a second opinion.
My G.P had his laboratory do a PSA test and my number was 97.34 and am set up to see my GP's radiologist. My G.P. tells me it can just be BPH or benign prostatic hyperplasia.
The urinary infection went away and for awhile I felt good again, but then it became difficult to urinate again and it is why I decided to get the tests I've mentioned above.
My G.P. has assured me this country of Costa Rica has a CIMA hospital, which is considered the best in all of Central America. He said he thought, given my very large PSA number that his urologist would want me to have an MRI done or possibly a CAT scan.
So, I am now just waiting. I can pee and the medication my G.P. gave me is a targeted medication that only affects the prostate muscles and here it is called Teglinil, which is known as Silodosin 8 mg. I was taking it for awhile, but it gave me constipation, or at least, I think it did, so I stopped taking it and if I drink water regularly I have found I can pee just about as well without taking the Silodosin 8 mg tablet that gives me constipation.
When I got the urinary tract infection from not being able to get out of the car and pee from driving long stretches and also doing long periods of time on a computer chair that was not conducive to use as it continuously hammers the pelvic floor; it is what I think has exacerbated or even potentially caused the prostate gland to grow at a much faster pace.
Since this is a Spanish country everything is in metrics. And, some of the doctors don't speak English. The first doctor I had do my blood work told me I had a 59 and said it in broken English when I asked her about my PSA. I said, "I have a 59 PSA?" She repeated, you have number 59. I looked at it on her screen and saw the number 59 and thought maybe this country doesn't put the decimal point in for PSA's because I couldn't get my head around the number 59., but now I know that first number I got was correct from that doctor.
My PSA before all of the computer work and various other stressors was 6.9 in the states and after I was here it went down to a 6.7 and at one point was a 1.5. But, I have a spinal condition that prevented me from doing my usual long walks and I also stopped eating as well. The computer chair has also raised havoc with my spine, but I have work to do and have tried to find a decent computer chair do no avail here in this country. I ordered one from the states and it didn't work either.
So, now it is a waiting game and am almost definitely sure what the second opinion from the second radiologist will be, which will be to go into a hospital and have an MRI completed of the prostate gland and then after it is completed, the urologist will likely proceed with the next step and I don't know what that next step will be. Thanks for listening and sorry this was so long.

I can't listen too much to this versión of the truth, but I would like to say that I am 69 years old and that in my 40's I was diagnosed with prostate cáncer, and told that without surgical treatment I would not have long to live. What happened to me was accute inability to urinate, whatever they call it, it's what I had. They put me on a waiting list and I was urinating, constantly leaking urine into a bag. I refused to submit to surgery and instead I opted for self cathaterization. I stick a tuve into my urethra a d drain my bladder a few times a day. I have a forty something year old girlfriend, I am now 69, and I sleep through the night. No waking up three or four times to go pee. No incontinance, literaly I can't pee unless I introduce the catheter into my urethra and drain my bladder. I run 5 to 6 kilómeters, 2 or 3 times a week, or swim 40 to 60 laps in the Town swiming pool. Should I have had the surgery...? What do You think? I can still have it, but I have had 20 odd years of living, which I could not have had I gone the other way, the surgery way!!

My husband had his PSA checked every three months because he suffered with enlarged prostate
When he went for his blood work it was elevated to 5.9 he went back two weeks later it was 6.9 he was told to see a urologist, took a month too find a great urologist/oncology hospital he went and had a MRI for a guided biopsy this was three weeks ago it came back out of 18 cores 17 were cancer, he then went for a special pet scan and it showed prostate cancer and it was in three lymph nodes, he is 76 years old, he started hormone therapy and will have radiation, he is lucky and blessed it didn’t travel through the rest of his body, although we wish it was completely contained, we are happy it’s not in lungs, spine, bones…
Heartsick he has to go thru this, but he does have a good prognosis…🙏

If prostate is the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths, why are men being told to not get their PSA tested? Yes of course the diet is a prime culprit. But once a man has disease advanced enough for a elevated PSA that is continuing to trend upward, treatment can save his life. One PSA test reveals little, but regular ones can find detect the disease before it has spread/ metastasized. Once it has it becomes lethal in a short time. Also, perineal biopsy is now available, without the risks of the traditional biopsy described here. MRI guided is standard now too-far superior to shooting in the dark as in the past.
Change your diet, sure. Get in better health overall, especially with exercise even better. But refusing testing because of the side effects of possible treatment down the road is insane. The prostatectomy is old medicine and on the way out. Modern radiation is superior in several ways. Better treatments are coming, no one can pretend the current ones don't have consequences. However, ask anyone who has loved a man who's died of this disease what it's like before you trust the kale and fruit will save you.

I also asked him if there was anything I could do to help myself, like diet or exercise. His response was, "No, there's nothing you can do. That's your plot in life and you need to accept it" What? If meat is a cancer risk how do you explain the lack of cancer in Inuits and the Masai people with meat and fat heavy indigenous diets? How do you explain the "French Paradox" of the French eating more fat? I noticed that Argentina, where more meat per capita is consumed than western countries, has lower risks of prostate cancer. It's carbs, more than meat and fat, which defines cancer risk. We eat less meat today than 100 years ago with more cancer. Carbs and processed food consumption is up but fat and meat is down. Meat has always been a part of a healthy diet for the duration of the whole period of humanity's evolution but carbs are a relatively new addition starting just a few thousand years ago with the cultivation grass seeds.

You've this 69 YEAR OLD undivided attention speaking truth to power.
I had Multiple Myeloma in 2022 and under went intensive chemo and radiation followed up by Stem Cell Transplant. As you're aware Myeloma is terminal so, I was put on Chemo maintenance. Which is a needle in the stomach once a month despite the fact that the Myeloma was in remission. I requested a break from the once a month needle as it caused a rash and sore that lasted a week. I also was receiving every six weeks a bone strengthening drug which I also stopped.
Now I'm diagnose with prostate cancer which has elevated to 40.3. They took 14 core samples which they claim are all high risk for cancer. A month later following the biopsy I was informed that it had spread to the left lymph node. Their recommendation is radiation and hormone therapy. Based on my research the quality of life following treatment is not only harmful but a blatant disregard for their HYPPOCRATIC OATH. I would rather be blind, Deaf and Dumb than subject myself to this Cruel and in-humane medical procedure.

Lowering your deuterium intake will slower the rate of cell division. Carbahydrates will accelerate it. Consider drinking deuterium depleted water.

This is a misleading prostate cancer discussion. A PSA blood test is a great way to gauge your risk. I had a PSA of 13.7 in January of 2023. A biopsy in March 2023 confirmed the cancer. I had no ED issues after the biopsy and it wasn't even discussed as a side effect before I had it. That was followed by a PSMA PET scan that confirmed the likely cancer, then I had a prostatectomy in June 2023 that found metastatic disease with a Gleason score of 3+4 = 7 and spread to several lymph nodes and adjacent areas. I have not started treatment yet 8 months after my prostatectomy. The erectile nerves were spared during the prostatectomy and that is what takes time to recover from. At least a year from what I've read. My ED recovery gets better by the week. My PSA is climbing quickly though and I'm considering hormone therapy with radiation

Page 192 says there are many days each week I eat no fiber at all. Page 205 says I often go days without eating anything but fatty meat cooked in either lard or butter. I chose HDR brachytherapy, followed by five weeks of low dose IMRT external beam radiation which I just completed last week. I tried to get the Exo urine test too. I didn't want to have biopsy. I did fight to get an MRI but it came back with a score of PI-RADS 5. My PSA was 64 in Nov. 2023 and 81 in Dec. 2023. When your PSA is over 10 the Urologist is not going to mess around with the Exo test since you are now going to be in the intermediate to high risk level. Their experience tells them that you need a biopsy AND even I doubted it and I was one of those that never wanted a biopsy. But after the MRI I was easily convinced to go ahead and get the biopsy and it came back with 11 of 12 cores positive for cancer at 70-90% of each core sample malignant. Luckily I was under general anesthesia during the process. Now just 40 days later I've had a PSMA Pet Scan (scans body for metastasis), CT scan, and a Nuclear Medicine Whole Body bone scan. Never in the world did I think I would go through such things. I went along begrudgingly and the fact that I have prostate cancer was surreal to me for many days. The reality is hitting home hard now. I have a weak urine stream, dribble, hesitation, and progressing ED. I thought it was "normal aging". it's best to get it before it metastasizes however in my case the doc says "this thing has gotten ahead of us. years ahead of us." I would do your research, learn about the treatment options (there are so many). You'll have to do a lot of research and educate yourself to become an informed patient and be able to advocate for your own treatment. Best of luck. I am leaning towards the CyberKnife procedure since it is the most accurate of the photon radiation treatments, it's higher doses, and only 5 treatment sessions. Lots to learn and not a road that is very fun. But lots of us out here having to go through this in order to find ways to prolong our life and hopefully die of something else. Without treatment I was given "about 5 years" to live. All the best to you! Curt

@curtisroberts503 After 5 years, you will die. Why did you even have all those procedures performed?

Very similar situation. PSA is currently 13. I have BHP and was unable to urinate (wore a catheter for 6 months (no fun) had PAE done a year ago. Procedure worked and shrank my prostate from 110cm to 65cm. Was able to urinate . All seemed good. Had a follow up MRI last month .Came back with a PIRAD score 4.Doc said Biopsy needs to be done immediately..I been hesitant. I've read about a 4k score blood test thats way less invasive. He's sticking with biopsy.. I've stated Joe Tippens Protocol with fenbedazole along with other supplements , soursop-essiac tea ,black seed oils & others. Is EXO test similar to the 4k?

@@curtisroberts503 I truly wish you well. Have you looked into the Joe Tippens Protocol with fenbendazole? Lot of interesting stuff out there with success stories for prostate cancer & other types of cancer!

If you rule out infection (inflammation) and BPH .. you should do biopsy to check what you are dealing with…. Knowing what you are dealing with, then you can fix it…

If a woman offloads her chemical toxins into her breast milk, is there something that women can do to reduce her body’s toxins before conception if she wasn’t eating heathy vegan food originally?

REGARDING RAW verese COOKED FOOD, eating raw doesn't give enough nutrition, in fact light steamimg and boiling weakens the cell wall so our stomachs can extract more nutrition, the cell-walls of raw food if generally to strong to weaken effectively to extract all the nutrition

I'm in the same place as you. Low grade Gleason 6. On active surveillance and changed to pescatarian diet and take vitamin d3 , turmeric, zinc , cooked tomatoes, pomegranate juice, broccoli. I have no symptoms, keep fit and have no intention of undergoing any form of invasive treatments with life long life side effects.
