i get that nobody likes timegating, but what did you think they would do? let you grind for all 12 the first week? i thought people didnt like feeling like they had to grind for things. also, what would peopole do for the next 10 weeks or so of the patch before we got any new content? i guess i just dont know what people actually want, and im guessing they dont know either.
The ring doesn't even show the socketed gems effects in the tooltip, you have to go into the socketing screen to see it. I don't understand how we get this level of quality while we pay a sub. It's disgraceful.
The math nerds on Peak have already crunched the numbers. For pure damage, the best gems for brew will be the three damage proc gems, idk what the names are. One is the single target lightning one we got this week, another is a frost cleave, and then there's a wind aoe. For tankyness/defensive builds, the healing gem we got this week and the stat gems will be the best. I've heard that Blizzard has revealed when the next gems will be available and what order they're releasing in, that's something the theory crafters would know. Regardless, though, if you already have 2 639 rings with the proper stats, this new ring won't surpass one of those for at least another 4 or 5 weeks when it can be upgraded enough. When fully upgraded, however, it will absolutely blow any other ring currently available out of the water and will be bis until you're killing mythic bosses in the new goblin raid.
Odd you think Ion's the one driving these decisions. 100% Spencer is pushing them to make decisions based on quarterly value, just like Kotick before him.
Instead of the gem acquisition being random, I wish you collected Singing Citrine gems from the events, and then you could go to the vendors and they could cut the gem into the one you wanted. Seems annoying that one of the effects may be BiS for your spec and you end up getting it not this week but in like 2 or 3 weeks.
Because then it would be way too easy, and people would have to struggle less which means less engagement and play time. If you think of things from a company perspective, you’ll understand why Blizzard takes so many steaming dumps on our heads.
2H outperforms dual wielding right now. As you scale up in item level the gap increases as well. Yes this is factoring in dual wielding having 2 enchants.
2H is currently better, especially if you get the staff from Ara Kara, but generally you should just keep whatever weapons you get and use whatever will give the highest ilvl. Having a second enchant doesn't matter since they each proc less, it comes out to about the same as a single enchant on a 2H.
As guardian this was doing about 6% of my damage and 10% of my healing, which seems solid, especially considering the gems aren't optimized and the ring ilvl will keep going up. Don't forget to enchant it!
If the periodic 125k lightning bolt from this ring is 6% of your overall damage, you are doing something extremely wrong on your bear, or you're like 500ilvl.
Blizz saw people giving them props on the crest changes and said "NOW HOLD ON!" Seriously, same old Blizzard where they release crap like this timegated. This happened with world boss legendaries at the start of Shadowlands (ele shams couldn't get their bis until week 3 or 4 because of the rotation iirc) and the corruption vendor and myriad other things. THEIR DESIGN PHILOSOPHIES HAVE NOT MEANINGFULLY CHANGED.
I sincerely don't understand Blizzard, yes, they will probably buff it a few more times till it actually really really good but why? they seen this in Shadowlands with the gems, they seen this in DF with a similar ring, it quite obvious by now that players or at least majority of your players don't like this type of system, if they wanted something unique, a legendary ring with a strong proc would have been better then this crap
It's already really good, you just need to wait a few weeks until we have all the gems and it's been upgraded. At max power it's by far bis for every single spec in the game and will be competitive with heroic drops in the goblin raid.
Ring is incredibly bad. Did a +13 mist to test it as healer: 1.5% overall healing gem, 3.2% overall dps gem, 2k haste from stat gem. Would take crafted ring 6k stats any time.
what spec its really good on my shaman the mariners gem was doing like 51m healing or more a dungeon which was like 5% it was on par with earth sheild. also dps who were using it were healing themselves for quite a bit. it was there most healing "ability" everytime i saw one using it. now on my mistweaver it wasn't quite as good for sure
its dogshit. playing arms warrior I need all the haste and crit i can get. If I remove one of my crit/haste rings that are enhanced and gemmed. I lose about 3100 crit and 2800 haste. When I equip the ring I get a false overall item level increase, going from 619 to 621 (stat wise I am actually weaker). The one good gem gives me 1887 of the 3100 I lost in crit. I lose much more than the fake gain. And this was buffed???? it is dogshit.
Its not. Its currently missing 8 gems and 19 itemlevel for gem scaling. On 658 with the best gems it sims way higher than any other ring in the game. If we get the socket that gives 800 to all secondary stats next week it should be BIS for everyone already at 639 itemlevel.
Don't forget that in true Blizzard fashion the first thing yo usee when you fly over to get the quest to even go get your ring is Khadgar sitting there telling you to come back in 21 days. I was that disgusted i just went and played something else for the night.

“A whole bunch of goodies!”
Me- Where?
ilvl 642 sims -93K dps against my ilvl 619 ring that has 3600 mastery….
Same here haha
I dont understand how Hazzikostas still has a job
Pull the ripcord.

addicts with sunken cost fallacy.
I feel any kind of healing helps with Brewmaster! 🐉
What weakaura or ui are you using for your hud with health and spells ?

Do you prefer dual wielding on brew ?
It’s so close it really doesn’t matter. Go with what you have or want to use.
2H outperforms dual wielding right now. As you scale up in item level the gap increases as well.

Could you do a video on the new racial?

Yeah but if you actually sim yourself you’ll be behind a 613ilvl ring.
@@onkek Only if you ignore the healing entirely and the 613 has bis stats.
@@daniellucas5522 Which is guaranteed at this point since you can craft so many 636.
@@tinit5190 *for people who do high level content but don't care about survivability. So +10 farmers only.

Island feel like 5 duro DLC.

Great video!
Rings should have been what trinkets are. Itemisation in general is utterly redundant in this game.

It's bad for now
Not yet, cause we are so limited in terms of the gems we have access to.
Same old as dragonflight's whatever island it was.
I'm back to Poe2
This is actually much worse than Forbidden Reach was ironically.
idk if any of you noticed but theres better water than what u can buy in dornogol there also. that shaman in your m+ was so bad that dps is terrible
which mod is putting the ! over the quest mobs head?

I get your point, but that's for something completely unrelated.
It’s dogpoop
