1. El Ultimo Tremolo - Agustin Barrios 2. Fantasie Hongroise - Johann Kaspar Mertz 3. Variations sur un théme de Scriabine - Alexandre Tansman 4. BWV 996 Gigue - Johann Sebastian Bach
Considering this is meant to be an International competition, the video production is terrible. The sound is dry (a little natural ambience would help) and the atmosphere ridiculously austere, similar to many guitar "competitions". I don't know what planet guitar festival organisers are on, but they really need to get their act together. I'm not suggesting garish productions or crazy lighting etc, but a little bit more atmosphere would go a long way. I agree with other comments below: There is zero info about the competitors, repertoire, criteria, judging panel, or any other salient arrangements. No wonder classical guitar audiences continue to plummet. What a shame. There have never been more excellent players and so much enthusiasm from the participants. It's a shame that the guitar circuit seems to consist of fine players trudging around the world from one austere competition to another.
