We used to have this on one of the school computers in a certain class in Primary School. The teacher would let the child that excelled the most that week play on the Friday. Crazy memories!
in america we played this same game on the computer, i never really got a turn nor was i any good at it but we would always get stuck at the same parts
@@peterpang1297 I remember my teacher would let us play computer games every Friday if we excelled. I remember one Friday at school I was the only one that excelled that week. I'm so happy to find this again. The music from the levels kept coming into my head this past week and I was like "I NEED to hear the originals again" so thank you for providing these nostalgic tunes and gameplay. The reason I work in video games now is because pangeasoft games were so formative to my childhood. I even wrote a fan email to the devs at one point (never got a response, still loved the games). Bugdom 2 in particular was one of the first video games I mastered as a kid (I never even finished OG Bugdom on my own).
I keep questioning whether my younger self knew what I was doing in this game or not. But every level you start and complete. I remember also completing it.
Ah, a truly unforgettable classic! I'll need to give this new edition a go when I feel like it - this looks as good as the original OS 9 version which I now haven't played in over 20 years, yet still remember it like it was yesterday. There was a point when I hoped it would eventually become playable on VMs, but this looks as good if not better. "Eevel 2" is something I still joke about from time to time, haha!
Man, I'm only seventeen but this game is so nostalgic! I remember playing it on my mom's laptop when I was like four or five, never really doing anything except rolling around, rescuing a few ladybugs, and admiring the slugs. I never went into the area with the fire ants since I was always too scared to, but my older sister often went in there, even though she would die shortly after. I don't think my mom even made it very far. I've never seen anything in this game past the very beginning of the area with the fire ants, and I haven't played this game in well over a decade, so thank you so much for making this video! I'm so glad I can finally see more of one of the first video games I ever played :D
Memories of this game are insane. Used to play it in my first year in infants school on the old classroom computer. All of my friends and I would take it in turns to play it, as a kid back then it felt like endless possibilities and kept us entertained for what felt like days
Remember playing this game back in the day in elementary school. This was always my go to in 3rd grade when we would go to the computer lab. The year would have been 2001
In elementary school this just came out and they installed them in the new mac lab. Those blue computers everybody got to play Bugdom on Friday's during computer lab. It was so cool at the time because Friday's were usually so fun as a kid in school.
When I was in elementary school we had a computer lab full of iMac G3s and if anyone got caught playing Bugdom or Cro-Mag Rally we’d get heck from the teacher for using inappropriate programs
Level 8 has wonderful background music and an interesting obstacle you can encounter if you go the wrong way. Fireflies that will automatically take you back a long distance if they grab you.
ah yes this game on fridays in primary school on the blue transparent crt macs sweating it out to try finish the first mission in 30mins before golden time was up the memories
I remember playing this PC Game on the small Colored Macintosh Desktop (The one I played it on was a Blue one) when I was in 1st Grade (2004-2005 School Year) I thought it was alot of Fun. When I was 6 going on 7 at that time I always thought that this PC Game looked like a Nintendo 64/PS1 Game because I thought the Graphics looked great and Picture Perfect. It's a good thing I still remember this Game and I played it almost 2 Decades Ago I searched up "Bug PC Game" and this Video Popped up in the Suggestions I knew I could find it after all these Years. I'm so happy that I found this PC Game and it Brought me back from when I played it in Early Elementary School and now that I got a Brand New Dell Desktop Computer from Costco (In the High Desert) a week Ago I want to play this Game again since it Brings back alot of Memories and I saw that this Game is Super Cheap on eBay (As well as all the other PC Games from my Childhood that I played at School and at home) Since the Dell Desktop I got not too long Ago is my 2nd PC I got. I can't wait to play this Game again (Unless it'll work if it recognizes the CD Rom.) Note: I just Realized that the Colored Macintosh Desktop I played this Game on in Elementary School is called the iMac which is a Combination of Apple and Machintosh Desktop Computers (they were both the same Company btw) and it was Dark Blue if anybody remembers those Old School Vintage Desktops from the Early-Mid-Late 90's I remember playing on the iMac in 1st Grade in 2004 to 2005 and this Game was installed on it man those were the Days.
This takes me back to daycare dayd. There was a computer in the big kids class and it had this along with some sort of caveman racing game. All the kids used to fight over who got to play first. 😂
I know a glitch in Level 9, once you defeat those spear throwing ants they'll oddly show up again as spirits and attack you again. But if you get one to fall in the lava, they'll show an overlapping sequence of those spirits showing and then going limp.
It's one of the games that has colored locked doors with colored keys, trapped ladybugs, blue and golden clovers, green clovers and of course enemies. Btw, i did play this game in class in elementary school and it was alot of fun.
This player hasn't discovered the power of making him roll. He is, after all, a roly-poly bug. I wasted SO much time in this game after I got my Blueberry iMac...after Steve Jobs came back to Apple. I actually liked the land of Bugdom...it was curiously soothing to go spend time there, even with all the bad guys around. I got VERY good at this game, and then tried to show off to my nephew once, only to find that on a different computer with different controls set up, I sucked at it again. You know what they say: Oh well!
Oh, the colorful iMacs and Clamshell iBooks! I played this on my Lombard and Pismo G3s with my kids and .... yeah, got to the end! Surely brings back the excitement!
I've finally found this game after all these years! I first came across it being played on a laptop on display in an electronics store all those years ago. Various things about this game stood out to me, such as the Banjo-/Spyro-esque graphics, the main character, the slug enemies, some of the sound effects, and the first level's music and setting, but I never found out what the game was called and I never saw it again until now.
I grew up playing this game with my sisters in the basement when I was 8. We printed maps of all of the levels Especially level 8! I beat the game way back then and after that old computer broke down I haven't been able to play sense.
Yeah, I think what's classified as the strongest of all minor enemies are those "Worker Bees." They'll only fall once they shoot out their stingers towards you.
I feel like I've seen this game before. Like they had it at a museum when I was younger as part of some sort of digital learning thing. But at the same time, I'm not sure if it was just another game that happened to look similar to this.
