how the hell is making a video quite costly??? you're literally only displaying card stills on the screen with a tiny bit of gameplay at the end. hardly any editing needed to make such a video that is only 6 minutes long
Here’s the creator reality: 1. Studying a deck takes a solid 10 hours and as a creator you need to cover decks you don’t like as well. So its not all “I would be playing it anyway”. 2. Writing the script takes about 2 hours. 3. Editing and sorting to reduce all info from a 30 minute video to a compact 5 to 10 minute format is another 1 to 3 hours. 4. Manually looking up, dragging and dropping cards and editing the video to line up with the audio takes about 2 to 4 hours. 5. Exporting, double checking, uploading + thumbnail is one hour. All in all, each video will take you a solid week to put together. And since I do content full time for various tcgs, every hour and I still need to pay bills and eat. It doesn’t look like much, but it’s extremely time consuming to put together a good video. Luckily I have editors to help with the process, but that means I need to pay them for their time at 20$ a hour, sometimes more, sometimes a bit less, depending on the work. I do most work myself, but that still results in a 50 to 200 cost per video. In the past a video like this would get 50k to 100k views. 1k views means 1.5$ ad revenue, so a 100k video paid for itself. Nowadays Yugioh gets about 10k views. So 15$ for 10 to 20 hours of work just doesn’t ad up fiscally.
@@KuganeGaming before I write what I'm going to, I'm going to make it clear that I'm not hating on you or your channel. But you only have 7.5k subs so you can't exactly be expecting to get 100s of thousands of views on your videos, so surely I this can't be your only job?
@@noobteabag5795 Unfortunately it is my only "stable" job. I had cancer some years ago so had to forfeit my career as a biochemical engineer. 4 years ago I decided to dedicate most my time to content creation, coaching and writing articles. It has been somewhat fruitful, 7.5k subs is 'midsize' in TCG channel terms, the other channels doing decently as well. I get the odd streaming gig that pays around 200 to 400 for a weekend every 3 to 4 months or so. And I coach people in FAB TCG which brings in an additional 100 or so each month. I have a following of Patrons that donate roughly 200 total a month. And then there is ad revenue which is anywhere from the 40 to 100 ballpark each month (On average 1.5$ per 1000 views). Recently it had an uptick thanks to the One Piece content, getting a stable 70 a month. A video like this Purrely one takes roughly 20 hours to put together and requires several people getting paid, so to break even on a video like this I would need roughly 150$ income. Thanks to the high audience retention, the pay for this particular video has been doing quite okay. Despite only 3.1k views it has generated around 9$ revenue. I expect the video to level out around 10k views, which means I'm at a net negative of around 125$. A few months ago, videos would easily reach 40k to 120k views when it comes to Yugioh, so the ad revenue would easily cover the time spent making on the video & paying other parties. But it seems Yugioh as TCG, or at the very least Master Duel is saturated a bit. I have received only 3 donations/Patrons since I started creating Yugioh content, so I suspect that the demographic is mostly kids or students. Games like Flesh and Blood with a predominantly adult adience tends to donate more and make the work put into the videos worthwhile... But the community in that game is too small to make a living off it. So its a neverending cycle of being forced to cover more games in the hopes of something sticking to make ends meet.
yo i was watching your video and i came across this comment. Keep up the good content , I just got back into master duel and seeing combo vids like these be helping seriously. You don't gotta explain your situation to nobody when content creating! you have your own reasons and never let anybody discredit your work and the hours you put in, the videos are a W. Keep it up and keep doing what you doing, the videos are high quality keep doing what you love. @@KuganeGaming
This is amazing. This helped me more than you could ever imagine. It's even made me want to play my purrely deck even more. Your videos are awesome and I hope the best for you and the channel.
I was absolutely certain you were goning to make this video, and for sure this Will be the ultimate guide to understand how to play the nice little cat

There‘s an error. You wrote that purrelyly can search a non quick play purrely spell. But it can also search for Purrely monsters and traps not just spells 🤓
At the moment I'm taking a break from Yugioh =], I only got a few new Patrons through Yugioh content, so it was very hard to justify the workload. I'll probably do a deck profile once in a while when I feel like it.
HOW TF DO I NOT BREAK WITH PURRELY???? I'VE LITERALLY PUTTED ALL SPELLS AND PURRELIES AT 3 AND IVE ADDED PROSPERITY AND ONE FOR ONE AND ITS 40 CARD BUT SOMEHOW I ALWAYS BREAK LIKE A MOFO TIER 1 DECK MY ASS
Have you tried believing in the heart of the cards? Jokes aside, bricking in Yugioh continues to be a problem. I think part of what makes Purrely a top tier deck is that its ceiling is incredibly high. So if 50 players bring it to a 100 man event, at least a few of them will manage to top it without bricking.
I generally don't do deck builds in Yugioh to keep the content evergreen, but Master Duel Meta tends to have the latest evergreen decks for the archetype =]
Its true. Content creation is costly and not just costing you money. Takes a ton of time and effort to crank videos. Thank you for this. This deck does not look easy to play I understand it a bit better now.
@@u.a.perfectace7786 thank you for the kind comment! 😊 And indeed. I think TCG content creation is a tough niche nowadays as well. Unless people have a monetary incentive to donate on Patreon and such the majority simply won’t. And at the same time TH-cam pays less and less in ad revenue 🥲, so its all a tad awkward.

I've literally never bricked once with that deck bro you're making shit up
Do you mean get hand trapped because that happens. You need call by, droplet and etc to make sure you can go through your combos without a hitch
It's pretty much impossible to brick with this deck. You most be playing wrong/missing cards
For some reason my quick effect only happens on my turn
Where can I find a deckbuild for purrley?

How can I get purrely cards?
Craft it using points
buying singles is the easiest way to
